A Brilliant Product
Kevin, your engineering and quality standards are first class!
I have enjoyed reading about the evolution of the tailgate door, and would love to be next in line for one, for my 80 series.
Please PM me for payment details. These are so cool...

If you are passing a beer money bucket around, I'll definitely pitch in.

Still no 80 thread, but I do have an 80 tailgate.... and it does have a big hole cut in it..... and I do have some test metal cut.......
So we are getting there. The 80 gate is very similar to the 60/62, and yet there are a bunch of little differences that add up to make things difficult.
The side panels have been dragging and taking time away from the 80 gate, but I think I may have them up to speed finally so more work on the 80 this weekend.
As a "side" note, I took a careful look at the 80 I pulled the tailgate out of, and 80 side panels look very doable as well.

Kevin you so suck for putting thoughts of potentially getting side panels as well. Thats just plain mean. I still have beer money burning a hole in my pocket waiting to go into a collection plate.
You need to get a "donate beer money" link on your site!

I'll just move to Oregon instead.
And anyway, how is beer money going to help get side panels faster? I would think the outcome would be just the opposite.
This will be a side panel weekend.

Beer, 80's tailgate, bla, bla bla ... you all are distracting Kevin!
Kevin needs to be in his happy place working on the 60's side panels!

See, I've "heard" that Kevin is already bored with the 60's side panels. He's looking to stretch his creative muscles and get that 80 tailgate going.

Just thought I would bump up the 60 (or 62 as the case may be) presence to help intimidate and run off some of these coil-springers

You're all pathetic.
And anyway, I already stated:

This weeks tailgate listers have been slow to respond so I have a bit of wiggle room on the tailgate production this weekend. I have been making 3 a week, but still have a few left from the week before this time, so the side panels get a bump.

Hummmmm, what's with all the CO boys all of the sudden, did you guys happen to see a white cruiser with a red strip recently?
All the lists have been updated!
Put a JDM high roof 60 under the knife for a tailgate lid this weekend, congrats on the new lid Matt!
Still working on an 80 prototype as well.
