What should I do

I need a lift for my cruiser's springs are flat.
My motor is on it's last leg.

Suspension?
MAF 4inch Shackle reversal (SUA)
OME heavy (SUA)
or SOA

I want to run 33's want it to perform well on the trail but at this point it is my DD.

now my motor ?
CHEVY SBC, TBI, 5.3 vortec?
stock trans and latter H55, NV4500 or go auto like th700r or the new four speed auto?
2fE, 3FE?

Power? Really good.

Economy? No change.

A 2F-E in a 60 will be more involved electrically with the addition of a wiring harness. You can use a tbi from a GM or the top of a 3F-E. 2F-E with an H55 would be great.

Adding EFI will make it more drivable and more reliable (after bugs are worked out).

And if it were me, an OME setup would be tops. It is simple, and proven.
