Removal of the Washington State Front License Plate Requirement

Hi all,

One of the members of PSTOC has put together a petition to amend the law requiring a front license plate on passenger vehicles in WA.

Removal of the Washington State Front License Plate Requirement Petition

Take a look at it, even if you don't care about the cosmetic or performance value of not needing it, there are other benefits (IE saving money!)

i havent ran a front plate since i have been old enough to drive.

Good luck with that. The only reason why we have to run a front plate is because it is a perfect place to bounce their LIDAR beam at. Anything that is going to take away from the coffers of the WSP is probably a no go.

I haven't had a front plate on the 60 for a year and have never had one on the 40. Never had any problems.

I lived in Seattle back in 91(I moved back again in 2000) for about 4 months and got pulled over by some pos cop for not having a front plate....still had my Kansas plates on and only the back one is required in Kansas.
