safety summit and trail clean up
DNR will be hosting a safety summit and a trail clean up.
Follow this link for more information DNR to Hold Safety Summit for Off-Road Riders
This may be a good event to get involved with on individual bases or as a group.

Sounds like a club event to me... I'll be attending a TreadLightly! Trainer course all day the 15th in Puyallup so I won't make it.
I sure hope a ton of you can make this.
Thanks for the heads up Mr. DNR!!

I think I saw something about this on another forum, and that it was geared towards ATV's and bikes, not 4x4's

Probably, but we can't ignore DNR and their efforts to reach out to the off-road community. If only quads & cylces show up then DNR will assume there are no 4x4's in the area so why should we continue to support their sport as it costs time and money. However if we continue show strong support with their trail clean-ups, they may even attempt to open up one or two of the old 4x4 trails in Capitol Forest someday.

I agree Brian. I think it would be an opportunity to meet the DNR folks. Oh yeah, I read there is a free lunch too provided by the sponsors. I will plan on attending. Any others out there going to make it?

I don't know if anyone made it. My wife ended up having to work and it was going to be too long aday to take Farron. I am going to contact the DNR and see what kind of "clean up" help we can provide as a club.
