It was a blast

We met at the 410 cafe early this morning a very windy ride up the trees were bending good , when we pulled into town the lights were out , power failure made it to the 410 and Matt a hopefully new member was there in his 80 series nice rig waiting in the dark resteraunt for us with his 1 y old daughter , well the coffee was hot so we kinda hung out for awile and waited to see who else would show up , the power was back on about 915 so we had a hot breakfast and Charlie showed up . Matt headed back to town so Charlie and my self and my friend Jeremy headed for the hills , we ran thru greenwater and up the 75 road to Haller pass the road was compact snow and ice but so we just slid here and drove there , we got to one section of the road and the dry snow was deep and we just couldnt get thru it so it ws time to air down and lock the hubs in we contiuned on up for i would say about three or four miles just having a little fun nothing hardcore just some guys out for the day we stopped on a wide section of road and were just shooting the Sh!t when we spotted 3 rigs coming down and one of the rigs was a cruiser turned out to be a member of the old Wilderness toy club don and his wife , I havent seen Don since the Island rock crawl trips back in the old days we chatted for a awile then decided to run with each other on the way out Don was driving like a madman or maybe i was trying to just keep up when i hit really soft snow and headed for the ditch as i dug my self in deeper and deeper it was apparent that a tow stray was gonna have to come out after a lot of pulling this way and that i was out we then played follow the leader as we tried breaking new ground thru some fresh snow , we then counted our blessings that it was early we have to work tommorow and that we havent broken anything so it was time to head out we met at the bottem of the hill aired up said our good byes and headed home , was home by 3:10 so it was a great day and im sorry that you guys missed it ,l But looks like we will have two or three new rigs joining the club a green FJ40 and a white FZJ80 , plus my Friend Jeremy in his red FJ40 as soon as we get it back on the road . Already planning on going back up in a few weeks to play agian any body wanna go on the next one ?

I'm sorry I missed this trip. I went up to Haller Pass two weeks ago the snow was soft but not icy. We made it up one mile short of the top of the pass and snowshoed the rest of the way up to the top. I'll try my best to make the next one.

Sounds like a plan

Sounds like a plan i would really like to get back up there and play some more i really enjoyed getting out , for got how much it was lets make a tentaive plan on the 26th as long as thats a Saturday , i was leary of going farther when we were there having to work the next day , but if we go on a Saturday then it shouldnt be a problem if something happens or we get really stuck as i have Sundays off also, sounds fun we can finalize the plans as the weeks go by

The 26th is a Saturday. I have it open as well and will put it down. Maybe I will actually finally have the ARB in the rear by then.
