Brandon, live in Olympia. Have four, two are on the road, one is project for my 5 year old son and the other a project for my brother. In case you haven't seen, there is a new chapter starting up down in the south sound, SSC (South Sound Cruisers), also here on mud now too. Going to be heading to Tahuya on the 17th.

New guy from Wenatchee

Hi everybody, I am new to the Landcruiser family, with the recent purchase of a 95 landcruiser! It was babied by a local doctor with less than 100,000 miles and in very good condition interior and exterior. Here are just a couple pics. it will probably take me a year or to to get started on it but there are a few things i would like to purchase is a front armor bumper, roof rack, possibly rear bumper with spare tire mount and in the distant futer possible a supercharger or turbo. if any one knows much about the turbo/ superchargers i would like more info and likes/dislikes of them.

my heavy chevy

Nice body lift huh

Size: 32.9 KB Hello Allan,

Just came across this and didn't realize anyone asked me anything. It was completly rusted out and sitting in a field for who knows how many years. Didn't run, so I had to trailer it home. Replaced most of the metal in the sides and the floor, new Painless wiring harness, reupholstered the seats front and back, new shackles and bushings, new brakes, and had the whole thing painted inside and out with bedliner (a product called speedliner). Except for the spring hangers, everything is stock. The engine's actually older than it should be (siamesed exhause ports and a carter yf carb. From the block casting number, I think it's a '62) and it has the three on the tree. The paint came out great. I've been through some brush I thought for sure should have scratched it and it didn't leave a mark. I drive it every chance I get and can't drive it without smiling....but then that's just a cruiser thing I guess. Like a dummy, I didn't take a single picture during the five months it took me to finish it, but here's a shot of what I started with.

I have been on mud for a while now and never look this far down on the forums page.

1978 FJ40. I bought it from Dave (Crocket) maybe 2 years ago. Frame of restoration (kind of) no body work done yet. 35 SSR's old man emu, reverse shackle, metal tech cage, some other stuff too. I know a few guys on here that live in Spokane. Picture is in my avatar. We (spokane area) should get together.

Well TLCA South Sound Cruisers is official!

Drop me a note so we can coordinate some events together.
southsoundcruisers at yahoo.com

We are going to hit Straddleline ORV Park on April 21st so come join us! We'll be meeting in the parking lot about 9:30AM, CB Channel 4.

Very mild trails but a good spot to bring everyone together even the new stock FJ Cruiser owners. I hear Rob is planning some more challenging runs for us at Elbe, Evans and Naches later this summer.

I look forward to meeting you guys soon!

Brian

Way cool! April 21st is the MUD DRAGS so I'll be there in my big 1-ton Crew Cab. You can't miss it since it's multi-color...

I'll be the big ugly guy wearing a silly hat and taking pictures of all the Cruisers!

wenatchee wa

We are in Wenatchee. I have had several built cruisers, including a couple of 80 series, 60 series and now a 100 series. We are at 406 S Wenatchee Ave.
We specialize in differential and 4x4 parts and service. I looked into the turbo/super thing w/ my last 80 series, but it was cost prohibitive. I regeared to 4.88's and 35" on both and had no troubles towing my 5k lb boat over Stevens pass.

Hi all, from Port Angeles... across the pond from Seattle. I see a lot of cruisers driving around in my area, but none the which are members of this forum. I don't believe so anyways. Well, if there is anyone, let me know, I'm always down for drinking some beers and wrenching or just talking shop.

Here's my cruiser:

'85 FJ60 still in progress of building it up... slowly but surely.

That wouldn't be where you took your father-in-law for his first time off-road is it?

New to the local Seattle area board.

Purchased a '97 40th in Antique Sage - factory lockers w/88k in Feb this year. Getting ready to swap springs to the OME stock height upgrade (got a sweet deal from a fellow member) and probably the Bilstein shocks. Looking for opinions on the OME's - I've heard of quality issues and they are a bit more expensive than the Bilsteins.

Will be doing this swap myself, but it might be fun to have an experienced helping hand to talk shop with and drink some fine brews while working on it. Somehow, my wife just isn't that person and my kid is way too young to even go there.

Do people ever get together and work on 80 projects in the Seattle area?

Not crazy into 4wheeling like most of you guys, just want to improve the vehicle for the types of trips we do - mainly back country fire roads for camping, skiing, mountain biking, etc.

1975 FJ40 - 96k original miles

Hey.

I just picked up a 1975 FJ40 with 96k original miles on it, aluminum tub, new Bestop, Weber Carb, stainless exhaust, Man-a-fre 6 into 1 headers, 2.5" lift, Rancho shocks, and pretty clean throughout.

I am looking for someone local to me, I live on the Eastside (I PM'd Bull) to help with a few things. I am currently on the hunt for a full hard top, some rear seats, front doors, etc. Also need to get some power steering in this thing ASAP.

Plan to go to about 4" lift total and run 35"s not sure what the long term plan is for motor/tranny, got a lot more thinking to do about that one... The ultimate goal is to slowly tear down each section with my 10yr old son's help and re-finish/clean it up piece by piece as we enjoy running around in it. Then when he's old enough it'll go to him and I'll get another.

This is my second cruiser, first was a '74 FJ40.

If you have any other suggestions for eastside mechanics, let me know.

I work in the video game industry building/dreaming up hardware.

Cheers,
Gadgetphreak

Hi everyone! I'm getting back into the Cruiser thing, I've been MIA for the past few years. I have an 84 fj60, OME, 33's, Detroit in the rear and a couple other little goodies. The poor rig is starting to fall apart from underneath me though and it is about time to get it back into shape. If some of you remember me, send me a message. I've been away far too long. If you want to see a few pics of my rig go to myspace http://www.myspace.com/vinnyfnjesus and take a look under 'my photos'. Take care,
