Very rare.... 87 first generation Sr5 Surf/4runner with a 22rte four cylinder with auto. Has surf and 4runner badging. Has metric or standard display (one button converts it). Rare all digital dash. Great frame, great body with exception of some bubbling over the passenger wheel well... driver side good. Very reliable; I alternate as a dd with my 40. Has wiring quirks that effect a few things. Digital speedo and rpm digital gauges work. The oil pressure gauge works. The fuel and temp do not. So low fuel light stays on. No there warning lights are on. When I turn my lights on, the electronic fuel pumps cuts off subsequently killing the engine. The turn signals work and so do the brake lights. POhacked into one of the harnesses and did not know what they were doing. I'm certain it is an easy fix. The transmission also shifts out way to quickly. Again, this might be electrically related... I did buy a solenoid set just in case that will go with the truck.
So, if you looking for the perfect, needs nothing truck, this is not it... the person who will buy this will know that a very original turbo 4runner/surf is for sale. And that is running and already drivable.... I encourage test drives. Morocks from the forum drove it, and will give honest feedback. I also drove this to marshals parts swap in south Carolina earlier this year. Several people saw the condition and are welcome to chime in... the photos speak for themselves. Thanks.
