1984 FJ60 in SW Oregon

SoLD!

This is a 1984 FJ60 with 174,000 miles. It was hit pretty hard in the rear and will have a salvage title. It is solid and very clean. I have been fixing stuff on it for the last couple months and it has been desmogged, optima battery excellent interior, no cracks in the dash and a new powersteering pump. The paint has been reshot and is an OK paint job. The DS quarter is repairable and the bumper needs replacement. The frame is tweaked a bit in the back and the body a little bit too. The front bumper is MIA- I gave away another bumper a couple months ago.. OOPS. Found a tiny spot of rust by the gutter. Tinted (nice quality) windows, older stereo, needs antenna, small rock chip in front windshield and I will do my best to disclose any issues I have found. Reman PS pump, optima batt. 32x11.5 AT off brand tires on alloy rims with security lug nut on each wheel. It still needs some misc. items but I need to move on to other projects.
Also will include a set of rear IRONMAN? 2.5" lift rear springs at the asking price of $3250, springs separately if not sold with the rig for $275.. Make an offer, you won't hurt my feelings. Thanks for looking.

Why the salvage title? Insurance agent must have thought something about it, that we don't know. Please fill me in.

Bent frames freak out the ins. co's.....big $$$ to get a frame straightened. Anyvehicle with a bent frame and 174k miles is "salvage" to an ins co......even if it is minor.

This looks like a sweet deal. I'd buy it in a skinny minute if it was closer. I would fix it or live with it.........

This rig is a 1984, the damage exceeded the value of the rig. Insurance companies are usually quick to throw out an offer, it is up to the owner to fight or just take the check and move on. I bought back my commuter car for $400 after getting $1900 for the car's value, $200 cash reimbursement for driving my own car vs. using a rental car and fixed it for $3-400 (it was red with blue hood-oh well). The original estimate was for over $2000 in damages. They saved a couple hundred bucks on my deal. In Oregon if the insurance company decides not to fix the car it is a salvage title, reguardless of the extent of damage.
The previous owner bought it back and drove it but didn't want to put more money into mechanical issues that I have fixed.. Frame is bent in the rear and my wife said it didn't "crab" down the road. I will point out all the damage to anyone who takes the time to look at it. I personally wouldn't worry about the frame, maybe the body damage.
I have no other details of what the $ #'s were.. If it hadn't been wrecked, it probably wouldn't be in my possession..

Just checked compression...
#1-165
#2-162
#3-160
#4-163
#5-161
#6-170

Engine was checked cold, no oil in cylinders added with screw in type tester that would bleed off a little bit, with throttle open about 5 rev's..

Oil pressure had been checked before changing at 75 psi at the sending unit.
I think its time to check the valve adjustment but I'll let the buyer deal with that..
