1993 Landcruiser FZJ-80 w/Factory Lockers, ARB bumper

Vehicle has been sold. Thanks for your interest!

1993 Toyota Landcruiser FZJ-80 with Factory Lockers. $5500 OBO

Located in Las Vegas.

Need to sell, back to college!
Details:
  • 148000 miles
  • Factory lockers (recently tested, they work)
  • Engine runs well (on recent road trip, no problems. Cruise at 80mph)
  • ARB non-winch bumper
  • ~50% treadwear on stock tires
  • Sunroof works great. No rattles, smooth movement
  • Southern California vehicle
  • Body is straight, a few scratches here and there
  • Class III tow hitch in back
Work done within last 1000 miles:
  • NEW radiator (Performance radiator - recommended by Slee)
  • Replaced EGR valve, EGR regulator
  • Upgraded ECU from 1993 to 1994 model - eliminates common problem
  • Replaced #1 and #2 transmission solenoid valve
  • Replaced windshield washer diverter valve
  • Replaced passenger front seat electric motor gearbox
  • Replace belts

If you come up to my full asking price, I'll throw in:
  • Wet Okole seat covers
  • Pioneer in-dash flip-up DVD player
  • Factory repair manual
  • Bazooka style rear bass speaker
  • Heavy duty mud-type floor mats

I've been getting some questions. Here's an e-mail from a curious person (identity removed), and my answers:

I had what turns out to be a known problem with some, but not all 1993 models. It was the Check Engine Light (CEL) code 83, 84, and 85 all at the same time. The solution is to replace the 1993 ECU with a 1994 model. It is discussed in the following mud threads:

89661-60221



> What do the trans solenoid valve do?
The solenoid valves shift the hydraulic fluid around to make the transmission change gears. When the #1 solenoid starts to wear out, the vehicle will sometimes try to start out in 2nd gear, rather than 1st gear. The symptom will become more common until it happens all the time. This is a known problem with the A442F transmission in the '93 - 94 models. I replaced the #1 and #2 solenoids.

Summary: CruiserDan says: "You are in the process of losing a #1 shift solenoid. there are two of them in a 442. 85420-60050."

147500 miles. I rounded up to 148000 miles out of courtesy to a potential buyer.

Yeah, I was thinking of selling at the very moment you said you were looking to buy. I wasn't sure of selling when you were buying.

The bumper is staying with the vehicle - It's a positive selling point!
