FS- 1983 FJ60- Tuolumne, CA
1983 FJ60 with 157069 miles $3500- Tuolumne, CA 95379
Well, I'm finally getting around to trying to sell my 1983 FJ60. I bought this in 2003 with around 13xxxx miles on it- it's now at 157069 miles. It has a clear title (as soon as I can remember the really safe spot I put it so I wouldn't lose it). The Cruiser runs well but the steering wheel gets a shimmy at around 45 mph. The body is in pretty good shape for a 25 year old truck- there are a few dents/ dings/ scrapes and some small rust spots over the rear wheel wells. The interior is in decent shape but the driver's seat has the usual wear and tear. Overall I think it's in fair shape but it needs some TLC. I think this is a solid foundation for someone who is willing to put some work into making a sweet rig. While I have had this cruiser I have: -Installed new exhaust with a new cat and Flowmaster muffler -Replaced the radiator and hoses -Replaced the water pump and fan clutch -Replaced the alternator What I know needs done: -Front axle needs rebuilt- it has greasy knuckles -Power steering pump has a leak- it needs rebuilt or replaced (Edit: it could just be a hose, I'm not sure) -Clutch pedal needs adjusted -AC doesn't work- I think it just needs a new idler pulley as it currently eats the AC compressor belt. -Parking brake doesn't work- I bought a new cable but I never got around to installing it -Needs a new windshield- this was a cold winter and it cracked pretty bad -It will need new tires pretty soon -After it has new tires it will probably need an alignment I had removed the factory rack while I had a Yakima rack mounted but I still have the factory rack which can be reinstalled. The Yakima rack is not included (it's now on my FZJ80). I have tried to represent everything as well as I can. If you have any questions please shoot me a PM. fwiw, my cruiser shimmys at 45 also, shop says it's 'death wobble' and say it's time to replace the suspension. I scored a used PSP w/ 90 day warratny from cruiserparts.net for a couple hundred, haven't dealt w/the suspension yet.

Check your bushings and shackles first. I just fixed my death wobble b/c of a stripped shackle nut and bolt.
