1985 FJ60 187K miles $1800

NEW PRICE - $1500.00

187,000 miles, with everything original, except the interior that was redone. (See pics)

Interior
Carpet is in great condition.
Door panels and seats were recovered.
Dash is good, with no cracks
All electronics work.
Has an aftermarket radio system.
Rear heater works.
Center console is original. Lid hinge needs attention.

Exterior
Rust in the usual places (see pics) Paint is original and faded in some places.
New Toyota side markers
Evidence of tint on rear window. It was scraped off, but around the heater lines you can still see it.

Engine
Head was redone. That included valve job and oil galley fix. Headgasket was replaced, along with all other gaskets included in that job. Powersteering pump was replaced, but still leaks some. Probably needs a hose replaced or a seal somewhere. A/C works and blows cold. Everything else is stock. Even has the distibutor boot . Timing chain cover leaks. I will include the gasket/seal for it. It has a slight hesitation on acceleration. This would probably be solved with a carb rebuild. It has plenty of power. Compression numbers were equal across the cylinders after the head refresh. All smog still intact.

Drivetrain
All original drivetrain. 4 speed. 4X4 works. 3.73 gears. The clutch/pressure plate/throw-out bearing/pilot bearing needs replacement. It makes a healthy noise when the clutch is let out. Aisin hubs.

Tires
60% tread on 31X10.50 Revo’s.

EDIT(forgot to mention): Exhaust was replaced with a new Toyota part from the cat back. Cat was also replaced with a new aftermarket unit..

Price was $1800, now $1500. Located in Kansas City. MO.

Sorry about being broke... I priced this one for a quick sale to get it out of here. When I sell it, I will be down to only one FJ60 and an FJ40.

I saw you put your FJ40 up for sale and if I was not downsizing, I would have been VERY interested in it.

13 MPG - city/highway mix. With a carb rebuild by JimC, it would probably do a tad better. I had my other 60's carb rebuilt by him, and it sure made a difference on that one.
