I have a 1985 FJ60 that needs an engine rebuild, or a new engine. The 2F has about 180,000 miles on it before something went kaboom inside, most likely a crankshaft bearing. Had a mechanic look at it and was told could replace them, but most likely do it again after 1000 miles or so. So it probably needs a complete rebuild or new engine swap or whatever tickles your fancy.
Overall the vehicle is in very good condition, 2 tone FJ62 style paint job, very little rust so the body is in great shop, 32x11.50 BFG All-Terrains about 65% worn, stock rims, no lift etc. Power Steering works great, no AC but I do have a compressor that I bought off eBay, whether it works or not on the swap I don't know. Carb is a new rebuilt with maybe 3K miles on it, was tuned by a local carb master here to run wonderfully until the kaboom. 4spd Tranny, clutch does feel a little weak to me, but easily replaced with the whole engine swap process.
I'm asking $1500 OBO, you can pick it up from my location (Utah County, Utah) or I can trailer it to you depeding on where you live (additional cost).
