VERY nice truck but priced more like an 80 series with lockers. I don't mean to offend but don't nice, high mileage 62 series go for more like $7000?

I had a chance to buy this rig 3 years ago when I was looking for my 60, I didn't buy it because I wanted a 60 but this rig was in very fine shape back then at around 190k on the odometer.

Generalee7 - You might want to expand on the history and what this rig was built for, etc in order for Mudder's or the public outside of Mud to understand how you arrived at the pricing.

HTH. Good luck to you.

BrettinSanAntonio,

Trucks like that sell for more like $15k than $7000. But, I will make you a deal. I will give you $2000 for everyone you find built like this that I can buy for $7k. Deal?

Here is my truck. It is built very similar and was priced very similar!

GeneralLee7 - I guess I should have bought it last night ;-)

Hmmmm...I might be willing to take you up on that deal if we put it in writing. However, I have a built up LX450 so I'm not in the market for a 62 at any price.

Look, like I said in my first post, I'm not trying to offend in any way. You very well may have the cleanest truck in the country. Like the other poster said, additional photos and descriptions would be helpful. I based my thoughts on three photos and a brief description. I come across many clean 60 and 62 series trucks with 120 - 160K miles in the $7-$8K price range.
If you sell this one and desire another in the future, you might want to look in Texas for such a truck. I guess our mild winters keep them in rust-free, clean condition. Check the local newspapers and craiglist sites. That's where they seem to reside.

Post the additional photos and info, I'm sure what your asking is fair or at least in the ball park.

I've restored SEVERAL vintage vehicles; Toyota's, Classic Range Rovers, Series Land Rovers and a handful of early Mercedes diesels, so I can appreciate the time and money you’ve put into your truck. I hope you get every penny of what you’re asking but the emotional disconnect is sometimes difficult to make from ones creation. It's going to depend on what the market will bear.

Cruise Control?

Gen. Lee, what can you tell me about your cruise control. Assume it was after market. I have a 88 62 that I would like to add cruise control. What brand did you go with, and are there any functional or installation problems? Good luck with the sale. I've seen a lot of cruisers for $17-20K on autotrader.

Thanks, Open Fly
