Nope, we're 100% volunteer. I'm the Development Coordinator in charge of fundraising, grant applications and a bit of community outreach. We're always looking for new members. If any of you guys and gals are interested, please click on the link in my sig or send me a PM. SMRG has a nice "Prospective Member Packet" available on the Join Tab and you can also check out the current 6 month training schedule, which is soon to be updated. We're based out of Vienna, VA.

I'm a new guy to ih8mud. I'm not a member of TLCA or CLCC yet. reffug ran into my girl friend at the post office or something in Manassas. haha Pretty funny story. I never catch people looking at my truck. He recommended that I check the site out. I like that there is a Capital area section and a club. I'll have to attend a meeting or two since I live about a mile from Jack Taylor Toyota!
Anyway here is my 4runner.

Nice shots, guys!
Hey kcebes, I live within a mile of the dealership, too. Is that your 4Runner that I see over near the corner of Dewitt and Bellefonte?

I'm not exactly sure where that location is. I'm over by slaters lane and N. Washington St. Just as you start to get into Old Town.
I never knew there were so many offroaders in the area. Pretty neat!

Oh, got it. So, you're over by the Rustico restaurant that just went in (which I've been meaning to try). The corner I mentioned is in Del Ray. I'm over on E. Howell near Rt. 1.

Yup! Right by rustico! Don't go jacking my truck either! hahaha
We should meet up soon. I need to meet some local wheelers bad. The only guy I wheel with right now is a jeeper but he has a warn 9.5ti winch so i don't mind! Not that I ever get stuck though.

My 97 FZJ80
Purchased bone stock in March 06. Had my first accident in 25 years in May while driving one day. I totaled 2 cars and damaged 2 others. End result of the damage for my truck was $11,000 which included a brand new front axle. Darn, and thank goodness for insurance.

Welcome!! I don't know that we have any trail rides planned soon, but I hope that will change. In the mean time, we at least need to see some pics!

hey everybody.
I live in NW DC. I have an 87 FJ-60 and a 78 FJ-40, though the 40 is back in philly. Looking to do some upgrades on my 60, maybe get some all-terrains on it and for some general tech advice.
