Anyone Have an SWR Meter?

And can bring it to the meeting tonight? I got a CB for Christmas, and I want to install it this weekend.

See you tonight,
Felix

It measures the Standing Wave Ratio. You need to adjust the length of the antenna to get the SWR below 2.0:1, as I understand it. Not tuning your antenna can cause damage to the CB radio.

Here's a link on it http://www.firestik.com/Tech_Docs/Setting_SWR.htm

The Radio Shack here in Oregon hooked up to mine and read it for me for free ( I bought the K-40 antenna there) They might do that where you are. I don't know if you bought anything there. I'm sure it helped in my situation.
