Good eye. That would be the Malawi Blue Mule, finally on the road again after getting the minor shipping damage resolved
BTW, that Con-Ferr rack is for sale. Can't park the mule in little garage I'm renting here (house attached) with the rack on. Not using it, just storing it, so no need to keep it around.
I see I missed the July meeting (in VA?) Any meetings on the MD side? Or weekend activities planned? I'd like to meet up with a few CLCC folks while here.
Cheers.
Dan
Like this, but with TX number plates

Welcome to CLCC country M5Driver!
Meetings are 1st Wed each month @7:30pm at Jack Taylor Toyota in Alexandria on Rt 1 - Jefferson Davis Hwy. Just a block or so south of S. Glebe Rd. over the 4 Mile Run bridge.
Go to the center of the showroom, through the glass door and up the stairs. Turn right when you exit the stairwell. The board room is at the end.
We are discussing moving the meetings, but I doubt the location will change for the August meeting.

Hell, I'm just up the street in Olney, and Dan F. is even closer in Aspen Hill. We can meet somewhere and you can buy me a beer.

I will be having a "pig raising" at my house one weekend very soon. I need to recruit some helpers to help pull my 55 body off the frame so I can finally begin my restoration process. I will provide grilled food and cold drinks of course. The actual lifting / moving process should go fast.
I have decided to leave the doors and top off this Summer so you all may see my not so pretty 40 running around the area also. It is mostly black now on the exterior now but the interior is still Smurf blue.

I am in for the pig raising... let us know when it is.
Also, at the end of august/ early september, i would like to do a mild wheeling trip/camping trip in GW Nat forest. Camp on top of the mountain at flag pole. Then continue on to another location.

The East Coast Pig Run is the last weekend in Aug I believe, so you may want to avoid that weekend.
Dave, I went on countless wheeling trips with 31s and even got further / not stuck, than many larger tired vehicles on some trips.

Any chance of ever flagging him down to chat about the TLCA and CLCC?
Anyone know the situation of our CLCC business cards? I'm flat out.

Glad to see that you're still alive Dave. I was afraid that Barb had you locked in the basement without Internet access. I didn't expect to see you on the trails, but I missed your Web presence.

I always see him going the other way - If I ever get a chance to talk to him I will. at one point, I was credited with finding something on the order of 20 new club members when I was active in the CLCC.
I've also seen a really nice red 40 going up and down the Pike.

I'm here! Just not a whole lot of opportunity to make smart-assed remarks. You'll get plenty of me on October 10.

I've never run anything except 30s on mine. Of course, I don't do the extreme stuff Right now, the mule has 30" snow & ice rubber - don't know how they would do in rocks and mud, but I DID find out they are great on wet pavement , not just ice. For braking, anyway. I'm looking to get a set of 6 33x9.5s for it later this year. Looks like BFG ATs is the only choice for that size. Anyone have experience with those?
TKS

Don't worry Dave, more and more states are recognizing gay marriages. When are going to complete your sex change anyways?

I don't think they make the 33x10 anymore, it's now a 33x10 and a great tire. I sold a set to Thornton with his truck.
You can get a Swamper in both 34x9 and 34x10 - both are awesome tires but not so great on the road. You can get a Swamper 33x10 radial that is good on the road.
