Greenridge State Park Day trip this Sunday

I'm looking to check out Greenridge State Park this coming sunday. I hear that its fairly mild and a pretty good time. The FJ Cruiser guys go up there a bunch and looks like a lot of fun, especially if it gets muddy. Mapquest puts me about 110 miles away so I figure its within day trip distance. They have an 18 mile offroad loop and maybe some side trails. If anyone here has been, post up your opinions. Who wants to leave nice and early Sunday to head up?

I was up there on Sat. riding my dirt bike. Great run for stockers, no chance of body damage unless you drive off the side of a cliff, scenic over look. There are some short uphills that look like fun, usually preceded with switch backs that aren't too tight. From the bottom of the loop up Stafford Rd. there is a nice long hill. The loop is one way so mind your direction.

The last two times I have been there it has been surprisingly desolate with not too many wheelers or dirt bikes. I would imagine that will change once the weather starts getting nicer.

Have fun and be safe.

edit: just saw that tagged vehicles can travel in either direction, I would suggest you go counterclockwise though just in case. There are some guys that really rip around the corners and some of the short climbs are pretty blind for riders.

Well, I planned on going but didn't find another person to go with... Plus my co-piloy wasn't all that enthusiastic.

hopefully, I'll make the trip up in the next couple of weeks
