Whew! Thanks to everyone who came out today. It was a great time despite the heat. Time to go lick my wounds. Will post pics tomorrow.

Ok. I'm officially jealous! My 40 is wheel-less and brake-less sitting on four jack stands in my garage...all for a good reason, tho...Anyway, I can't wait to see pix! I hope to join you on the trails sometime in the future as my Tank is getting closer to becoming trail-worthy.

Get new springs! The first trail was awesome. You'll see the big mud pit in pics. It was nice scenery too. The second trail was a testament to fortitude if you had a 40. Very rocky. I thought for sure Big Red was going to fall to pieces. At the end, there were a few pucker moments for this rookie. Again, you'll see the pics.

P.S. I need bigger tires and a locker.

Actually, new springs are gonna happen soon. I wonder if now, since my wheels are all off and I'm on stands, would be a good time to install them? I wanna be like you, Dave, and am getting the 2.5" lift. Luckily I have relatively new shackles/pins/bushings so the install should be easy (famous last words)
Tires are gonna max out at 31x10.5 for a while, tho. Gotta get the most out of this thing before our daughter arrives in the Fall!

Thanks all for a good time and especially BK for his hospitality, oh yeah, and Dave too for organizing this goat rope.

Thanks Jesse. I was just the motivation for the trip. Bob helped me a lot in planning and BK did the trail. Thanks BK for leading! I'd like to do something in the fall. I need to get bigger tires first. I had cruiser mod envy.

P.S. And for you guys bitching about your Aussie/Lockrite lockers (you know who you are), I bet you're glad you had them.

all of my pictures can be found at: bkfj40/cruisers - wheeling/gwnf june08 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I don't know who's idea it was to let the guy with the no lift / no lockered 60 run first, but I had a good time leading the pack. Finally, I wheeled with Bob once without a breakage - I have broken the curse

group shot:

my wife's 60 stuck

a virgin wheeler - Dave did a great job wheeling the 40 bone stock with a 3 on the tree:

Sebastian in John's old minitruck (that is the downfall of buying someone elses rig who everyone knows...it will always be John's old minitruck until you sell it, then it will be Sebastian's old minitruck)

Dale's pimp ride:

almost calendar quality, but just a tad bit out of focus...

Bob taking it easy as usual

only one I got of Riad - he just hits everything too quick and couldn't get out of the truck soon enough to get a snapshot...

here's one that someone else took:

Thanks to everyone who came out - I had a great time and gave me an excuse to get out and wheel for once...

Hey Guys ,

Just want to say I had a great time !!!! BK, thanks for letting us stay at your place. Dave, thanks for getting the ball rolling on the outing. Bob, you got me to take my rig some places that I normally would have just looked at. It was great meeting everyone and I'm looking forward to doing it again. Here's a link to the pics that I took
http://www.shutterfly.com/lightbox/v...f3edf1ebadc1fb
I just loaded all of them some are not the greatest. Yes Dave , I'll stop Bitching about the Aussie. It worked great. Hope this helps in your quest for larger tires and a locker.

Thanks again,
Tom

Hey Tom, I can't get the link to work. It looks like I'm directed to the sign-in page. I think you may need to share (send a share message to yourself) and then post that link. At least that's what I did.
