I'm fine doing the river first - I'm up for the challenge!

I was leaning towards Brandywine only because Lylia will most likely be with me. Does your place have a crapper and or shower? One out of two might swing it for Lylia.

yes on the toilet, yes on the shower, but only cold water (it'll perk you up)

I'm up for wheeling earlier, but 10:30 was thrown out before...I'd like to hit it at 9am, but am in for whatever....

doc says no beer for me - hopefully, I can convince him to give me a pass for a few at coal miner.

Earlier is fine with me. I originally chose 10:00 am so some daytrippers wouldn't have to get up quite so early.

So for the folks who are headed out Friday, are you camping at Brandywine? I have never camped out that way before. You are allowed to camp anywhere in the GWNF - dispersed camping. Has anyone done that, or are there no real good places in that area? Would be nice if we all camped in the same area so we could get to know one another. I am still planning on heading down there Friday sometime, on the earlier side. I wouldn't mind to caravan down.

I'm still undecided at this point.

Probably gonna know something by Thursday one way or the other.

If I post up pics of the tractor lifting the 80 so I can strap on the Toyo MT's then you'll know somethings up.

Course my wife is going shopping today so that might be the end of the gas $$.

Jesse:

Brandywine was chosen because the accommodations are more civil and Bob's wife is coming. A few of us are meeting at Bob's place in Warrenton at about 2:00 pm Friday and then caravaning the back way (avoiding 66 and 81) because we all have slow-ass 40s. You're more than welcome to join.

Yeah, I know, I'm an early person too but didn't want to impose my will on others. Unless there's an overriding opinion, we should likely stick to 10:00 am at Brandywine. We can hook up with you along the way if that's satisfactory.

You can camp along the trails in GWNF, but the only good spot I know of is on a trail that closed a few years back. You can also camp in the meadow but that often turns into a drunken frat party this time of year. I'm for either BK's place or Brandywine.

It sounds like more folks will be camping (or staying in a local motel like a pussy) so let's go for an earlier start. My vote is for 9 or so.

Uncle Jesse - let me know if you want to caravan down with us and I'll send directions.

BK - No beer? Unbeleivable! I guess that just leaves you with drugs and hookers.

Jamie - Come on down. I want to see your new ride.

Okay, Bob makes it official! WE MEET AT BRANDYWINE AT 9:00 AM! Oh, and Bob, I'll be thinking of you sweating your ass off at night while I'm sipping Dom Perignon and eating chocolate-covered strawberries in my ever-so-comfy air conditioned suite.

EDIT: Oh yeah, don't forget about the Spanktravision! (names of movies will not appear on the bill)

I am going to have to pass on this trip. I have too many home projects I have been putting off that need to get done. I have the 4 Runner Jamboree on the calender and CMCC.

The forecast for Saturday is sunny but toasty, with highs in the low 90's. Let's hope it's a dry heat.

Riad, You take 66 West to 81 South to 33 West. Once you go over the mountain and enter West Virginia your first left is the Brandywine campground if my memory serves me correctly.

Doh, I see you live in WV now. I have no idea how to get there from where you live now but you can use my directions to find it on a map.

Thanks a lot John. That direction matches with what I've got from google map. It's about 117 Miles from where I am. Should be about 2 hours, If I like Dan I can make it in about an hour

Can I have some one's cell number, in case I get lost

Riad, I think you may have me confused with Dale. He can make it to Rausch in 2 hours. Takes me a bit over 3.

Wow, you moved again?

Dan,

Are you saying that I drive fast. It's not that I drive fast, it's that I don't drive a 40 anymore.

Dale

Dave,

You are correct. I do miss driving the 40 in 90 plus degree heat, and the single digit fuel mileage.

I wish I was taking the FJC now. I would pick the hottest friggin' day of the year. Irony, I suppose.
