Need to Tow my New FJ60 from Falls Church to Oak Hill - Good Towing Outfits???

Hey all -

Going to get rig sometime in the next week or so and have been trying to figure out if I could get a friend to help (uh, no), so I am now looking for a good/honest/cheap towing company and figured I'd put the word out to the locals to see if you guys have any ideas!

The 60 is now right off of Route 7 and Route 66 and I need to get it to Oak Hill (Dulles Airport area) - been quoted anywhere from $95 to $150 (ouch!)

Anyone know of anybody you would use? I'd rather give my hard earned $$ to a Mudder Friendly Joe than a stranger....

TIA,

Scot

Is this the one that had the bad air pump? If so, why not fix it..then drive it home. I'm sure I can get out there to help you if you need it.

This is a new erotic towing service.... I'm not sure if they have a Nova location though. Seem to be real friendly guys though.

Unfortunately there is no cheap towing in NOVA that I know of. Do you have AAA?

Yeah, the one with the bad smog pump - the problem is that other parts are missing off the engine as well - the fan/housing/hoses etc.

The owner said that the mechanic that ordered the wrong smog pump said they were there when he had it towed back to the house (last Nov!). So at this point they are long gone - sorta a weird deal if you ask me but the seller seems like a straight up guy - I met his wife and kids and they seemed genuinely sad to see it go - I have a really good BS detector and smelt none.....we'll see huh????

I'll have to take a good long look at what I would need and then order parts to get it going....nothing is simple!

Thanks for your kind offer of help however, I may be needing some in the near future....

You might want to check out their waiting period for the 1st tow. I believe it is really short. Maybe get a tow and AAA for about the same price? I guess the link in boarderline NSFW...

Nah, it's really tame. I've seen much worse (better) at work.

Kevin Pell

Pell's Towing

(703)-929-1525

Also, Tysons Towing Inc (703) 328-1598

I've used both A LOT thanks to my POS Defender 90

Donny Figliozzi used to own Big Tow in Rockville MD, but he no longer does.

I grew up out near what is now called "Oak Hill" there used to be some GREAT mountian biking out there and we used to wheel out there all of the time off Fox Mill and what is now the Roll Rd and the Fairfax County Parkway.

Also, once again, I think Tom Thornton has a parts 60 and I think Dave McComsey up in Deleware has a bunch of 60 parts as does Gary Schumaker (sp).

PM me for thier contact info or PM Thornton on this board. I think he told me recently that he had just bought a parts 60.
