Looking for some gearheads close by!

Hello,
I'm in Hagerstown MD and looking for some fellow toyota gearheads. I've been to your swap meet last year and am looking for a club to join for wheeling and social stuff. I can't get my fill just on MUD alone. I am extremely close to having my 78' FJ-40 ready to run. I've had the thing tagged and insured for three months now and it's only gone 5-6 miles on the road in that time. I'm resolving the driveshaft issues right now and then it's on to a knucle bearing job (I hope I can stave off this one until the weather improves a bit).

I had been working pretty hard on this truck for the past year and am sooo damn close. I would appreciate some info on the club ie joining etc. and would like to know if there are some other guys close by me. I saw someone in Fredneck MD earlier on this site.

thanks Kenn

Let's see... I know that Blue77FJ40 and Riad both live in your area. And I think that's Curren that lives in Frederick.

As for joining the club, you could start by coming to our next Happy Hour. It's going to be in Rockville.

Felix, You need to get out of VA more often... Hagerstown is nowhere near Riad or Dan or Bethesda, but is close to Frederick where Curran is.

D'oh. I was thinking of Germantown. Having made the drive up from DC to the PA turnpike towards OH to visit my parents many times, I know where Hagerstown is. It's way the F up there.

My bad. It looks like Dan and Riad won't be giving you a hand.

Edit: and I just noticed that I spelled Curran's name wrong. So, basically every single piece of information I tried to give you was wrong. Glad I could help.

Not too far away! 40 minutes from Winchester Va, 20 minutes from Fredneck MD. I'm hoping to find some wheelin' mates soon. Crusier classic is sneaking up. I'm getting closer to having the bugs worked out of the POS money pit. the driveshaft is coming soon. Can't wait!
