Should have made it 4' longer so the trailer and truck would fit.  I'll just have to live with it. Or, build a lean-to out the front! 
I think my builder buddy has a sense of humor, or should I interpret this like the horse head in the Godfather?

I don't have the breakdown in front of me, but the foundation & slab were right at $10K. More than half the cost of the project to date!
That includes all labor & material for:
Footers
4 courses of block
Brick to grade on 2 of 4 sides
4" Gravel
2'x2' Rebar Mat
6" of 3,500 PSI Concrete with Fiberglass Reinforcement

That's a great deal. I paid $11K for a 24 x 37 slab for my garage about 7 years ago and I like the way yours was built more. Mine was a monolithic pour so the sill plate was closer to the ground and I did not like that.
Looks great!
I used the industrial quality fluorescent in mine along a mix of incandescent. The heavy duty fluorescent can start up in very cold weather. I also put a gable mounted attic fan in the attic to get welding fumes out of the building. I put large kitchen style exhaust fan in the wall above my welding bench. I hooked it up to a motion sensor so that the fan a light came on when you worked in that area.
An inexpensive pellet stove heated the whole building no problem.

Tim you just need to start wheeling the taco and pull it with the 40 so it will fit in the garage hooked up

Well we got the roof on just in time for Ida to test it. Its good.
The electrical installation is underway. 200A Square D QO Panel with a 3/O copper feed from the meter base.

It is nice to see your garage coming along so fast. Are you going to install any HVAC or just use the stove in the winter and fans in the summer? With the separate meter you will know exactly how much power it uses.

It was many years in the making, but once the trigger was pulled things happened fast. Still a lot more to do before it is finished, if it ever is, but my goal is to get it weatherproof, inspected, and matching the house (siding) before old man winter moves in for good. Insulation and drywall may exceed this fiscal year's budget!
I have the wood stove and plenty of trees so that is how I will heat. AC will have to wait, if I ever do it. With the high ceilings and some cross-flow ventilation I don't think it will be too bad in the summer. I have a much higher tolerance for summer heat than winter cold.

This isn't my builder's regular gig. He mostly does foreclosed property management for banks and real estate agents. I pulled my own permit and hired him to make it happen. We've know each other for 15+ years and I knew he would take care of me. He has done a great job getting good subs to do much of the heavy work and he fills in the voids.
Crane rental from W.O. Grubb with operator was $440. I think they set all the trusses in under 3 hours with it. Our framer sub set it up. W.O. Grubb Crane Rental - Richmond, VA
