I spoke with Mark and I plan to pick him up at DFW airport on Thursday evening. We'll drive into Elwood the next day about noonish. I may drive back home if it's scorching hot, just to sleep in the cool. ;-)

Anyway, if anyone else needs a ride out to Elwood, let me know. I will help get folks back to DFW as well.

Well boys I done made it through that surgery! I tell ya, it weren't no fun! I guess when the doc's split ya gut open it's bound to hurt for a few days. My wife said that she didn't know I could talk out of the side of my neck but the meds can work wonders. Wonder what she found out about me when I was under? Oh well, she is still talking to me so that's a positive!

Right now, I' just focused on getting my junk back together. Pistons are out of the 40, and the steering linkage is coming out of the 45 today...AGAIN!

I'm fawkin' burned out. Been on the road three weeks ... outta the country for two of 'em. Got me a flight home tomorrow though By Gawd. Got Elwood on my mind ... and I mean BAD.

I'm needin' to get together with a few of my friends ... drink a beer or two ... and enjoy life.

Best I can figure ... we got us a generator, a buttload of ice, a few shitters, some t-shirts, O'ficial TLCA insurance, a bad-ass winch, and some piggies to eat. I'll confirm all this shit when I get home.

... and I got me a date ... a real woman that we ain't gotta blow up.

Y'all just bring a good attitude ... rain or shine ... and a lil' somethin' for The Yard Sale ...

And this here deal has all the potential to be yet another LARGE time for The White Trash. I look forward to it Folks.

The weather's nothin' short of crazy here. Last year was a major draught ... this year it's like livin' in a rain forest. Unbelievable rain. Be plenty of places to stay dry though with the party tents and the pole barn. Good news is it'll keep it a lil' cooler and settle the dust ... and we get to shoot off some fireworks By Gawd. Bad news is it mite change the schedule 'round some ... but we're purdy flexible on that anyways so no biggie. The REAL bad news is the friggin' mosquitos we got. Biggest damn thangs I ever seen and a whole bunch of 'em to boot. Bring rain gear and a case or two of bug spray Folks. Life is good.

Domek if you're bringin' the family remember to bring more than one chair.

And since Roger ain't gonna be there to feed us ... ever'body comin' needs to bring a lil' somethin' to throw on the grills.

Doesn't look like we gonna have quite as many members here this year ... just means those of us that do show up gotta better chance at the winch.

Right now I'm thinkin' most of the games Friday afternoon/early evenin'. 'Nother game or two, pig eatin', Yard Sale, Fireworks on Saturday.

Plenty of time to socialize ... this is meant to be a SOCIAL event after all.
