Jebber's FJ40
Jeff has been on my a$$ for not posting pix of his build, progressing at the shop
Completed will be
69 FJ40 2F, SM420, SO, SR, Saginaw, High steer/1 ton Chevy TR ends, cut n rotated front housing, Metal Tech cage, (need a decision soon on style)
4 wheel disc, power brake booster added, Lock Rite in rear.......
1 st pic is showing the SO finished and the cleaned and painted springs hung, note the shackle sunk into the rear of the frame
2nd pic shows the Saginaw steering box mount, this is 3/8'' steel,
3rd pic is showing the passenger side, SOP is plating the inside of this frame rail also...

Three more pix, showing more work
1 Close view of the rear shackle
2 and 3 View of the outside of the frame on the gearbox side, the two bolts that go thru the frame are sleeved to prevent the frame from collapsing .

Butch,
Would that roll cage (I assume Metal Tech??) fit in a FJ40 with the hard top on without modifying the hardtop or its mounting?
And, its sounding like you are getting closer to completion... then you would have some room to work on my Toy...

Man, the more I look at that blue color the more I want it gone. That blue would be cool on a stocker but not a trial rig.
Now, what color?
