I talked to the office and the owners and Left my name and number. I talked with Butch and some others in hopes of getting out the info. Butch told me to post here. I checked and rechecked on and off all day Saturday in hopes whoever found it would finally turn it in. What disapointes and frustrates me the most is that someone has decided to keep it instead of turning it in. I have been to several offical landcruiser events in different state and the common thread in all of them is the willingness to help others out. I saw many examples this weekend of folks taking time to help others learning to wheel by guiding then over hard obstacles. I watched as people took time out to help repair trucks and offer up their own spare parts. The amazing part to me is that people drive many hours to wheel there trucks on what little time they may have, but I have never seen an instance where someone is not willing to give up that precious time to help someone else out. It is an entire event based on getting together and sharing a common love. The frustrating and dissapointing part of this to me is that in the midst of all this someone decide that they were going to be selfish and take this watch. I could deal with the idea I had left it on my bumper and driven off with it somewhere on the trail, but the thought that someone I was around wheeling with has taken it, really stick in my gut. Someone has the watch and most likely someone with that person knows about it.

I would like to say that this is not a reflection in my opinion on the event or the club but on one individual that attended the event. I had a blast and feel this was one of the best run events I have ever been to.

Thanks for all of the LSLC hard work.

Believe in cruiser karma and know that it will all work out in the end.

I lost my FJ Cruiser multi tool at the Marauder bar [Rubithon '06] I told Ron Q [West Coast Trail Team leader] about it at lunch the next day, and even though they had run out of multi-tools at that point, Ron popped his own multi tool out of his pocket and handed it to me on the spot. I deferred, but he insisted.

The next month at the PMC swapmeet, I shared this story with a few folks, including one attendee who told me he FOUND an FJ Cruiser multi tool at the Marauder Bar that same night!

He did not offer to return the tool.

I have seen this person post several times on the board in the ensuing time over persistant problems with his landcruiser, as well as other difficulties in his life.

Nuf said.

I would send you a watch, but I do not own one.

Keep the faith.
