Need Brake Booster Help
Looking for a recommendation for a source in San Antonio/Austin for rebuilding my brake booster from 87 Fj60. I've posted a few question in MUD and although haven't received a solid "yes" you need a new one/rebuild current. My symptom is that the break pedal is just plain HARD. I've followed FSM/Haynes process for testing (pump up & hold - start engine, should "squish/compress" slightly, etc. etc.) and I'm gathering that from these checks I can confirm its airtight - but nonetheless the pedal feels rock hard.
If you have an opnion on my diagnosis please let me know. But what I'dreally like to know is if anyone knows of a place that can rebuild mine. I'm leaning towards rebuilding this one vs. buying a used one to try and eliminate the unknown of how much "time" a used one would have until it craps out. Thoughts/suggestions ?? __________________ 1999 UZJ100 - 285 BFG's, Bilsteins 1987 FJ60 |

There was a guy selling the brake boosters on MUD classifieds. I would check there.
