Good Suspension shop in Austin?

I wanted to see if anyone know of a good shop in Austin that does good suspension work - specifically a project that would involve some fabrication...

Thanks in advance
Koby

You can contact Jason at JK Customs. Don't have his phone number right off, but his web dite www.JKCustoms.com. He's not "in Austin" per se, but he is in Hutto. Does great work.

Krawltex, in South Austin. Ask for Cam, Ted, or Chris, but Cam's the owner. They are moving shops in about a month or two. Excellent work, in my opinion. KrawlTex Custom Shop

DO NOT GO TO KRAWLTEX IF UNLESS YOU HAVE A DAMN JEEP!!!! sorry Pat, can't let my fellow cruiser folk get screwed the way i did... don't get me wrong, Pat, your truck looks INCREDIBLE and i have loved it since the first time i laid eyes on it, but the work at krawltex is definitely inconsistent... my rear bumper is definitely NOT Cruiser worthy...

Wow, Lola. I didn't know that their was an issue with your bumper. All of the work they have done on my 4runner and my Tacoma has been spot on, and I get compliments on the custom stuff that Cam did on my 4runner bumpers all of the time. Admittedly, I don't wheel as much as most folks on the forums, but I have dropped my ass over more than a few rocks and slid across just as many, and everything held up...just needed touch up paint .
Two different experiences, same shop, but I would still use them.

Thanks everyone for the feedback - I got the chance to meet with Jason at JKCustoms and he'll be doing my work no question about it.... Cruisers all over the place at his shop and he was exceedingly honest with me about the pros and cons to my project as well as all the other options out there.

I'll check back once the work is done with a final update.

Thanks again
Koby

Mmm your 4runner is nice the one time I saw it around I walked around it for probably 15 minutes.

Thanks for the props on the 4runner, but I can't take credit for most of the truck. Long story short..OK its still long.
I sold the truck in 1996 and it was bone stock, and running poorly, but very clean. I lived in Dallas at the time, and two guys from MN came down and bought it to take back up north because it was rust free. 11 years later, while looking for parts for my 89 4runner on Yotatech, I see an ad for an 84 gold SR5 4Runner in Minneapolis. It states that it came from San Antonio and its rust free. I click on it, to see a truck that would remind me of my old 4runner, but instead I see a locked and lifted, regeared, soft topped, custom armor'd, weber 38'd with a new engine and exhaust....version of my truck. However, upon further inspection and checking the VIN, it was my truck! The seller had the truck for 10 years and made it his project. After he was "finished" he went out to wheel it, and everyone said it was too clean and classic to destroy, so he built another one with a full cage to bash up. He changed hobbies and decided to sell both trucks, and I had the opportunity to buy my truck back! Two plane tickets to MN later, and me and my girlfriend..oops..fiance..were driving Goldilocks back to TX, where it belongs.
I have had to fix a few quirks, and I had some extra protection added, but I love the truck too much to destroy it. I pick my trips and trails carefully and I stay under the truck's capabilities so I can keep it around for years to come.
If I make it to a meeting, I will drive the 84.

Edwin's handle on ih8mud is greasshopper... I think? He is not working with Jason (JK), two independent shops.

Hey Edwin,
I met you and some of your friends at Thundercloud on S. Lamar and Manchaca about a year ago. I have heard nothing but good things about your Toyota skills, and it looks like your new shop is down the street from another Thundercloud. I will have to stop by after lunch and see what everyone is talking about.
