1970 FJ40 manual steering box excessive movement>>>

Is there a steering box adjustment to take the slop out of the steering? The slop is prior to the pitman arm movement.

Thanks from Georgetown, Texas

I live in georgetown also! I rebuilt one(took two times) you are welcome to come by and compare or try this one. I no longer need it.....going power steering. To tighten you have to loosen nut on the opposite side of the pitman arm and screw(plain screw driver) the stud clockwise then re-tighten the nut. Call if I can help 731-8557 leave message if I dont answer I will call u back.

good luck
Nathan
