Boulder Creek - Memorial Day Weekend

Ok, so I just got the 411 from Howard at Boulder Creek.

1. It is $65 per driver to camp, wheel, and participate in the activities for the ENTIRE weekend (Friday through Monday). $25 per passenger for the ENTIRE weekend.
2. We can camp on the trail if we want. Most people will camp in the front, but we are more than welcome to camp on the 750.
3. There are multiple off-road groups going including the Austin Rovers and Crawltex.
4. Registration can be done upon arrival, however, they would like an approximate number of attendies for planning purposes. If we let him know ahead of time, they will check out the trail conditions before arrival.
5. About 100 or so markers have been installed on the trails in the last couple of weeks. Yeehaw!

Some of the highlights are: Wheeling all of the days, guided sunset trail rides, and night time riding is allowed until 10:30 p.m (otherwise known as cherry-time). There will be a sponsored lunch and other fun stuff.

Go up to the first post. The very last line of the post is a link to their website.

Boulder Creek

Thanks Guys, looking forward to it. If I've been told correctly, the place is about 7 miles east of Marble Falls on 1431 (back toward Leander). Shouldn't be a problem for me. See ya'll there!!!!

I have to rework when I'm going this weekend. I didn't look at the calendar and thought Memorial Day weekend was weekend after next. I've got a few family obligations Saturday morning so it looks like I'm not going to be heading up until Saturday around noon. I'll find the camp and try everyone on the CB, channel 4. Jen and a few others are planning on heading up Friday evening and will set up camp somewhere in the 4x4 area. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

I believe Jeff said he would be going sometime in the AM friday. I'll be heading out of Austin around 4:30PM is everything goes good on the leaving process. I'm only staying until sunday night though.

Not really sure, this will be my first time out there. I'm sure Jeff could provide some better info than me.

We are going up Friday afternoon. Hopefully we'll get a good spot on the 750. Look for the ACLC banner.

Any particular time you think you will be there? I plan on leaving around 4:30 BUT honestly I don't want to be the guy to secure the camp spot.

I am like John Kerry... The ultimate flip flopper on decisions... I am going to try to make it. I have a noise that is either the t-case or the exhaust groaning. If its the exhaust I am in, if its the t-case I am out. Either way, I will leave saturday morning and make plans to meet before then. What time are people thinking of heading out Saturday AM? Maybe I can sync up with WarpDr.?

We are going to leave here around 1:00, so we should be there about 2:30.

This is the spot I was thinking of....

We will be leaving about 9:30 - 10. Get there, have lunch, setup, and off to wheel. Let's agree to run channel 4 on the CB. Do we want to meet somewhere Sat. so we can wheel together?

Any Ham folks going? We need to pick a frequency.
