Why is Dallas LSLC recieving dues?

Hey ya'll, Steve Laird, the treasurer here from the Dallas LSLC. I have recieved another payment from a Paul Deberbois (spelling??) Anyway, I am unsure as to why your club is sending me dues...isn't your club taking dues for it's own club..or am i missing something?

They are using the generic lslc.org website to join. We just setup a paypal account to take dues and will be revamping our website. Please email Jason Darling (LSLC-Austin treasurer).

jason, no workey. not a big deal but have some support from this group, so a little donation won't hurt. jeff, brian and mark have all been cool. also met casey and others. really hard to make meetings from this location. i would pm you but don't know how.

Hey Jim, I have received payments before and to make sure it is working, I just sent some money from my personal account to the Austin LSLC account with no problems. I am unsure what you are doing.

Just in case you (and anyone else who reads this thread) have never used Paypal before, here is what you do (If you know this already, please disregard):

1) go to https://www.paypal.com/
2) sign into your account (or create one if you don't have one)
3) click on 'Send Money'
4) enter austinlslc@gmail.com, the amount you want to send, and select a payment method
5) click submit and a receipt will be sent to you immediately via email
6) I will send an email to you letting you know I have received your payment.

As far as a sending a PM on Mud, click on my name 'arcteryx' to the left of this message. It will give you some options. Select the one titled Send a Private Message. It will take you to another page. Fill out the title and then ask any question you may have. Hit send and that's it! Additionally, you can send me an email at geogratis @ gmail.com. I'm the guy who sent the dues to Dallas 'cause I couldn't find anywhere else to send them to. I'm getting my '83 FJ40 today and want to be able to get some good advice on local repair shops. Tell me what to do to get the dues to the right place.

It is basically for the club to function. We buy caps and help pay for events like the Ice at the round up, raffle items, banner, stickers, caps, and tees. And, sometimes we purchase items for the club members to use, most recently the microfiche machine and slides. So the money does not go that far. As far as not correct to post in this forum, general questions are fine, ie, what does the money go towards. Questions about individual memberships should not be on a forum, IMO. I would rather not have that discussion in public, for privacy of that member. I can be reached via PM or geogratis at gmai dot com.

Hey Paul,

Welcome to Land Cruiser fever.

Do you have a gas (FJ40) or diesel engine (BJ40).

I'm up in Cedar Park, btw. Waiting on gaskets/seals to finish up my FJ60 front end. Funny part started off using Valvoline Durablend grease.... and can not find any more of it in town! Lithium based w/synthetic so I should be good with the rest of the being lithium, but what a pain in the rear (bearings and birfs repacked, but need extra for hubs and cavities.... hmmm...).
