Any Good LC shops around SA

Well my reenlistment went through and now I can play around with the 40. I want to replace the motor with something that gets more than 6 MPG and a tranny with more than 4 gears. Does anybody know of a good shop that works on modified Land Cruisers around San Antonio I am coming home on leave the first week of August and would like to start on it then.

WIMBERLY 4X4 in San Marcos off I-35
Does work on LCs...but be forwarned, there have been good and bad reports about using them.

I can see why you're going for the change but I want a ride before you take out the stroker! if its possible..

Cambridge automotive has done a couple of the swaps and does pretty good work but for someone that has alot of experience on the 40's I'd do Wimberly. The mechanic knows his stuff but it is a bit costly.

Danny is a great guy and knows his Land Cruisers in and out, but we have had many heated discussions about V8 swaps and SOAs. Danny likes to work on stock LCs. Has anyone heard of Lethal Performance somewhere on 281? I hear they have done a 40 V8 swap. Josh I will try to make it to the August meeting and give you a ride before she loses her soul.
