Membership Meeting / Trail Cutting / Camping and Wheeling at the new TMTC Park

Texas Motorized Trails Coalition is holding its next general membership meeting and new park unveiling, July 26th, at the new park in Ozona, TX.

Camping and access fee's are waived this weekend and this will be the first chance for general TMTC members to see Escondido Draw Recreation Area. For those of you familiar with Barnwell and TMTC, this is the new park everyone has been talking about for the last couple of years.

While it's still not as close to San Antonio as some of the smaller parks in the area, it's much closer than Barnwell and nearly twice the size, located on the amazing Edwards Plateau.
Our travel time to this new park should be the same as visiting Padre Island National Seashore, about three hours.

See these links for info:

If you're not a member of the TMTC, I highly encourage you to join. This organization is the future of public access parks in the state. They work very closely with Texas Parks and Wildlife and the state has recognized them as the leading organization in the development of new parks in the future. Anytime you visit Barnwell or now the new park, Escondido Draw, the cost of admission is the same as membership so it pays to be a member either way.
