Really, do you want to go to the power lines. It's getting a bit late now.

A beater 80?

Beater isn't in my vocabulary but it's just to mainly replace the daily driver work of my truck. Plan is to leave it stock and simply enjoy it. That kind of means less 'wheeling for me since I didn't mind adding minor character to my pickup and this new to me 80 is pristine. Of course gas prices have beat the suv market down so now would be the time to find a 'wheeling 80. Then I still go back to the fact that a young single guy dosen't need 3 vehicles.

Beater can be a term of endearment for someone with 2 incredibly capable offroad vehicles. I wouldn't call my truck a beater though I am not shy about taking it off of the pavement. However, I must say I am more careful about my rockers now than I was in the past.

Ben, are you gonna be stuck on the pavement now?

I just don't like the word beater, even when used to discribe an old economical daily driver car. It just conjures images of a beat down, mechanically failing pos at least to me.

Nothing wrong have a 'wheeling setup that is made to take some licks. I'm just getting tired of working on the repairs after those licks.

Sady I will see more and more pavent. Though having my pickup for 10yrs and 'wheeling it nearly once a month for the last 8yrs, I've had my share for a while. I'm just sad it never made it to the Rubicon or Moab, but Arizona and Colorado isn't bad.

You didnt have to drive all the way for a cloth 80 in my color. If you threw insome cash for the deal I would have traded you. It would take some getting used to but i could handle leather.
