Boulder Creek July 4th Celebration

Anyone interested in another Boulder Creek run for the July 4th holiday? They're doing a similar program for the 4th of July as they did for Memorial Day. Even if you're just day tripping it, it looks like fun.

If you wanted to participate over several days, you could always get a hotel room in town at a decent rate.

Just a thought. Let me know what you guys think?

If I get done with the mods in progress before then Im up for sure. The locker is in and tested Now just a couple little things and ill be done for a while.
You talking about just a day trip right? After the last visit one night in 100 degrees is enough for a long time.

Yes, it would be a day trip until temperatures come down again.

Glad to hear you got your rear locker installed!

I think we should look at it. I could use another day up there. I may get a hotel room or pull my camper up to the state park.

What about renting a place like this for the weekend on LBJ? It wouldn't be too bad if we all split it. Check out the pool table and the hot tub! We could wheel at Boulder and then have a comfortable place to crash.

Darn...I just checked every place on that site. They are all booked. Looks like we are going to have to buy a chinese army tent and an air conditioner.

How much do those tents cost? An air conditioner would work fairly well in that kind of tent since its a heavy canvas and thus more insulation. That's an interesting idea.

I'm definitely in for a day trip. Kelly said she could only do it Sunday and I don't have a preference so Sunday is fine with me. OR we could go on the 4th (Friday) for the day. Kelly? Actually, I think the 4th would be a better day if that works for most people.

I think Friday the 4th will be the best day. There should be some other 4x4 groups out there to check out also. Let's make it official: Friday the 4th. I hope this works for everyone.

July 4 - day trip sounds good for me too!
Need to make sure with my better half that we do not have anything planned for the day (sealing tile, landscaping, etc...).

Looks like I may be able to join in the festivities on the 4th. I've got the tentative go ahead.
