You might want to ask North Park Lexus, they have one parked up there.

That's an older, 40 model that was restored by the manager. It's not for sale, I already spoke with them about it several years ago. Of all the years of the 40, I like the 1975 - 1978 years the best. That one over there is probably a late 60's, early 70's model 3 speed.

I've seen the one at North Park... Definitely would be interested in late 70's model (With Ambulance Doors).

Heh, the one at North Park is NOT for sale. Trust me; ten people a week ask about it.

I know of three FJ's that are for sale. I'll post their contact info tonight.

The North Park truck was done by the service manager. His crew did it when the dealership was a 'Yota dealership (located on the SE side, as I recall). They'd order a part or two every now and then when service customers had large parts orders. The whole truck was basically replaced.

I used to work for the svc. mgr.'s BIL, and we've (all three) discussed that truck many times over beer and 'Q. And no, it's not for sale.

Do a search on craigslist for Toyota FJ. You'll get a fj40.

There's a 45 pickup in Ft Davis I saw... no bed though. Just drive to the Observatory through town and you'll see it on the right.

Yeah, that thing has been sitting there for years. Did you do the tour of the owners "Snake Shop"? More rattle snakes than the I-35 Snake Farm.

Was going to, but decided not.... I don't really like snakes!

We have enough 80s in this club. I've been trying to get some 100 guys to come on board to try to even things out a bit.

Actually we need more 40s! Lots more 40s.

We do have a great group of 80 owners, however more are always welcome. As are all Land Cruisers and Toyota 4x4s.

We do have a 100 gal by the way.

It is not a proper trip without a 40

The guy at the snake shop is named Buzz, he was born in England during the buss bomb raids...
All the cruisers he has, except for the 80 series I sold/traded him.
The 45 is a 1980 HJ45 with the h 6 cylinder. I bought it out of Alabama but never had the time tp work on it. It was originally from Costa Rica.
If any of you guys plan a trip out this way shoot me an email, I have lots of cool places to wheel and hunt.

Colby

I certainly will, Colby. I might try to head out in late summer when you guys start getting the afternoon summer rains. Maybe late July or August.
