I think at only 24" of lift it would bearly be close enough to lift either of my trucks.

I wish we had snapped a pic of all of us sitting under Ben's truck without raising it at all.

Cool Get this lift!

The lift he would need, if it was a sissors lift is this one from BendPAK

SP-7X
Lifting Capacity 7,000 lbs. / 3182 Kg.
Lifting Height 72” / 1829 mm.
Lowered Height 5” / 127mm.
Overall length 165-1/4” / 4197 mm.
Overall Width 81” / 2057 mm.
Pad Length (adjustable) 63” - 71” / 1600 mm. – 1803 mm.
Pad Width 22” / 550 mm.
Lifting Time 45 seconds
Width Between Pads 32” / 790 mm./td>
Motor (*) 220 VAC / 60 Hz. 1Ph.

This is the one I am thinking of getting for my garage, because my ceiling is low (okay normal garage height).
No way to do a 2-post, with out structual changes to the rafters above.

If you get that you'll have to host all future wrench-a-thons...

Lowest I have seen is $3,500 with shipping included.
Just need to make sure if it is to a shipping depot or if it is to your home, that you have the means to take if off their semi or if they have a drop lift on their trailer.

Cool

When i was looking at lifts...this is the one I really would rather have.
It's a 2-post version that fits in low ceiling heights.
BendPak XP-9FX

Lowest price on this is around $2,700 (with or w/o shipping included).
To have this installed in my garage, I would have to do some changes to the rafters. I would need to discuss this with an architect to see if this can be done so I could lift a car/truck high enough.

Features
9,000-pound lifting capacity
Short column for low-ceiling installations
Wide or narrow configuration
Single-piece columns
Single point safety release
Chain lifting system combined with dual hydraulic cylinders
Electric / hydraulic power system
Large, 20" x 19" steel base plates
Self-lubricating dura-glide polyethylene bearing system
Safety locks in each column spaced every 3-inches
Automatic arm restraints
Heavy-duty dual 3/8” equalizer cables with oversize sheaves
Truck and van adapters standard

Specifications XP-9FX
Lifting Capacity 9,000 lbs. / 4082 kg.
Height Overall 128" / 3251 mm.
Width Overall (Outside of Base Plate) 145" / 3683 mm.
Width (Outside of Columns) 137" / 3480 mm.
Cover Height 2" / 51 mm.
Inside Columns 115" / 2921 mm.
Reach (Front Arm Min.) 35" / 889 mm.
Reach (Front Arm Max.) 52" / 1321 mm.
Reach (Rear Arm Min.) 35" / 889 mm.
Reach (Rear Arm Max.) 52" / 1321 mm.
Min. Pad Height(*) 4-1/2" / 114 mm.
Rise 72" / 1829 mm.
Max Lift Height (Pad Only) 76" / 1930 mm.
Max Lift Height (6" Adapter) 82" / 2083 mm.
Drive-Thru Clearance 106" / 2692 mm.
Motor (**) 220 VAC / 60hz. 1ph.
* Low profile arms are available as an option.

The low profile arms would work for my low riding Z3 or any other sports car I may own in the future.
