I did a search for thingy and nothing came up


The only catalog I have is SOR and it appears from the diagram that it is called a sunroof casing. If you slide open the felt 'door', there is a plastic moulding that frames the sunroof opening. It is four pieces that clip in and cover the edges.

Mine was so brittle that it disintegrated after I removed the pieces. It may not be something that is salvageable after all.

Well I got you that knuckle Brett. I didn't really want to give the guy $100 for it but he wouldn't budge and said he sold the other side for $125. I guess it's kinda lucky it was the other side that was gone and not the one you need.

I'm kinda raw that the junk yard I usally do business with lost the bid on that 'cruiser and it went to this other guy. Otherwise I'd be getting parts for dirt cheap.

But Kelly those plastic thingies, they're made of gold. Really. $50.

Hey, guys. The weather is really looking bad on Saturday so I think we may want to go ahead and move things to Sunday if that works for everyone. I WILL be working on it some now through Sunday so if you're in the area, feel free to call and drop by. My truck is in the garage and I'll have some heaters set up with the doors closed. Mmmmm....carbon monoxide.....grease fumes.....

I have a long list from the mechanic in no particular order. I will bring it Sunday and maybe you could help me prioritize and figure out what parts I need to order. I need an action plan and a project schedule. I want to take it to the Roundup at Katemcy

Things are looking good for Sunday weather wise. The national weather service says sunny with a high of 66 degrees. Local weather channels say sunny with a high of 74 degrees. I'll be in the driveway at 10am.

I'll be by briefly at about 11:30 - 11:45, but I can only stay a few minutes. (I got my hall pass for Saturday, but then you rescheduled. D'Oh!) Anyway, since it appears you'll be replacing a knuckle, I will bring my set of SST knuckle centering tools, unless you already have them.

If you think you'll need the tools (including the press to get the two bearings out of the axle housing) before 11:30 tomorrow, let me know and I'll see if I can bring them by today.
