Exclamation ALERT! Beware of the Boozer Cruiser - It cometh in the night!

Folks it’s been sighted again. This time at the Lone Star Jamboree and it wasn’t pretty. But what is it?

I comes in the night when you least expect it. It takes away a sober person and brings back a slobbering drunk. They say the only warning before it strikes is music. Usually Bob Marley or other fine Reggae; however, if you hear it, it’s probably too late. There’s no escaping the Boozer Cruiser. It’s a nocturnal beast that slithers around 4x4 trails consuming sober people that wander across its path. It’s been sighted as far north as Arkansas; down along the Texas coast and as far west as Texas’ Chinati Mountains.

I first heard of the legend while camping along the Rio Grande. The elder of an old Mexican village told me about The Boozer Cruiser while sitting around the campfire. His eyes were full of fear in his voice wavered with terror as he stared into the fire. He told me of many victims in the Big Bend region of Texas. The children of the village cry when it takes someone away.

They say the Boozer Cruiser lives with El Chupacabra, La Lloronaand the Donkey Lady. I believe its range is expanding and its thirst for human beings has grown ten-fold.

A last abducted victim was interviewed but all he said was, “No…more….cherries.” and mumbled, “That wasn’t a penalty” before passing out.

Warn your children and your camping buddies. For the Boozer Cruiser cometh in the night.

Darn it! I hate it when that happens. No one can say for sure though ... it may catch up with you again. Don't be skeered.

What?!? We heard you came back so drunk you were unable to communicate. They said you got something caught in your zipper. I don't understand why your camp buddies would make up such a story.

I think you'd rather not talk about what happend to you in the Boozer Cruiser. I understand and everything is going to be alright.

This photo allegedly taken as the Boozer Cruiser drove away with its capture ....
And the second one upon his return. Had I known I was in the presence of an actual bonafide Boozer Cruiser survivor I would have asked for an autograph

The people in these photos look like they're in bad shape. The boozer cruiser has struck.

Yup, I saw it. That's me in the middle in the top photo. Totally lost for words as the Boozer Cruiser returned for just a brief moment to drop off its latest victim....

I was indeed lost for words.

Still am...

Scared...

Damn, we had a big time that night.

Just so you good ole' boys back east in by-gawd Texas know, that truck is not confined to your state. It's been spotted many times on the Rubicon Trail out here on the West Coast. In fact, some here might call it the boozer bus on Friday night of Rubithon at least judged by the number of inebriants. We'll keep a sharp i out, and hopefully it won't be seen until June, and we'll send it back yer way.

I think I’m going on Boozer Cruiser expedition next month. I’m going to try to be one of the first people to get a decent photo of the Boozer Cruiser. I’ve seen all those UFO and Bigfoot people take some fuzzy, out of focus pictures. I’m going to get the one GOOD photo no one else has taken.

The legend says the Boozer Cruiser heads for the Big Bend along the Rio Grande in late winter to mate with El Chupacabra, so I’ll start my trek there. I’ll need some Tequila and cigars to use as bait. Time to get my wool Fedora, bomber jacket, bull-whip and pistola out for the quest.

Terlingua awaits

OUCH! Seeing those cherries made my heart skip a beat. That's what my patio looked like this morning after my near abduction.

You've got to come with us to Big Bend. Priss needs to examine the Terlingua margaritas.
