More Marble Falls Photos

From Tony, aka. Trigger, lots of Bouldercreek photos. This place was fantastic and has excellent potential.

My truck is still DOA but I have a few ideas I'm going to try today.

What? I couldn’t hear you over the sound of my buttery leather seats.

Where were you with that super trooper cruiser when I needed help? I thought you were coming down for the run?

I was talking about when it got towed by this one ....

I believe the photographers decided that they would not record the double teaming out of respect for the Lexus. Even though they wanted to real bad. Now if the two cruisers towing the Lexus had been hooked to the FJ Cruiser as suggested by the peanut gallery then all bets would have been off.

There's a fine line between where one tow begins and another ends.

I'm sure Kelly kept a good count being she was riding with me and not driving HER 80.

I'm just watching Tony open that pretty yellow box.

I definitely make a better Outfitter and Historian than I do a driver.

I don't know the 'trail rules' but I would say it was one tow broken up into many segments. Was this a winch/towing clinic???

No you should have gone. That's the whole point for owning a Land Cruiser and you were missed. What happend to me was a fluke. I've been wheeling since 1993 and I've never had to be towed before. It was just "my turn" I guess. I'm usually on the other end of the tow strap.

It wasn't that big of a deal and the problem was a simple $12 EFI relay. Lesson learned for another spare part to carry.

One thing I've always been impressed with is the "leave no one behind" practice in the Toyota and Land Rover communities. I'll gladly spend the day with someone helping them get their rig fixed or back home.

One thing I would recommend to people is to have some good towing coverage via their auto insurance or AAA. If you don't use it on the trail you may use it on the side of the road. I'm with USAA and they don't have limits and the coverage is like $12.00 a year. Just something to think about.

Hey Josh!

We missed you guys. For what its worth it seemed there was plenty up there for our stock trucks to do and still have fun. I was a big ol' chicken and left my truck safe in the parking lot so I would definitely like to go back and try some of it out. From what I observed, the big drops and sketchier trails were purely done by choice. There were a couple of Discos that took 'bypasses' around some of the bigger stuff.

They were not kidding about the CB radio either. It was the only way to keep in touch with everyone. The cell phone coverage was very hit and miss up there.

Kelly

No. Different frequencies and they don't work well from the inside of a car.
