...a last one from the exit from Mirror Gulch. No pics from the climb up to the top due to being busy, but a nice group picture at the lunch spot overlooking the Bar M Ranch up high on Arth's Rim

Claudia, why does my neck hurt after looking at YOUR pics?
Every once in a while you take a straight shot, just to throw us off, don't you?
Considering the dearth of coverage on the event this time around, I can honestly say that I don't know what us web wheelers would do without you!
Except keep waiting for the rest of the slackers to post!
THANKS

the last three from Widowmaker: the first one just to show how much the obstacle has grown from the time it was photographed for the trails book by Charles Wells, we had our two heroes from Rock Chucker Hill give it a valid effort, but to no avail - silt doesn't make for good traction when you try to climb a ~8 foot ledge.
We had a litle action on Mother-in-Law Hill, and then some of us took the bypass to the easy route : instead of coming out on Gemini Bridges road, we spent another few miles in low range, dropping in and climbing out of canyons until we emerged at the oil well on Hwy 313 (even the old Barnes Map doesn't show a named trail there; I think it will have the Hatfield name written on it )
Thanks to Chris for leading the trail, and to Eric for gunning; to Todd and Eric for spotting and for the rocks under Michael's tires.
Thanks to everyone for putting on this great event, we had a marvelous time - Life is indeed better in low range. If you didn't see your truck in these pictures, we have quite a few more, just send a PM. And apologies to everyone whose names I forgot multiple times Until next year, keep the rubber side down, Claudia and Michael

i'll make this brief. just a few pics. i just got home from CM and I have far less fewer pics than normal. When one of your passengers is sporting a Canon 20d there isn't any real reason to take your own. i'll come up with a trip report tomorrow.
ran through the San Rafael Swell weds on the way down. Talked to a lady in a small town, friend of the owner of the two 40s. Says they've just been sitting for the last 20years. Thinks the mileage is accurate. both under 1k.:
damn. i guess my silver star ran out while i was in Moab. i'll post pics tomorrow.

wouldn't have missed it but i had to hurry back home so only got two days in. these are a bit stale now but here are some from fins and things on thursday. first up is christo's new ute taking a somewhat ambitious approach. then we have a nice 40 from wisconsin and a 62 from oklahoma i think. then buddy from arb trying to prove that 4runners do not need lockers (something i would have though arb would not encourage him to do). btw, thanks for the ice cream buddy,

also from fins here are two shots of a privately owned fj on the same obstacle as buddy above. she took on everything on the trail which was pretty gutsy on her own brand new vehicle.

and then of course there is the great transition on my truck courtesy of luke porter from 4x4 labs and his crack team of technicians who cut the back of my truck off on thursday night and bolted on luke's beautiful bumper and ken hanna's sliders all in time for friday when i badly needed them on kane creek as i consistently managed to screw up every obstacle so that i slammed one or the other. here's the truck on thursday, luke, dale and brian on thursday night supervised by my son keefer, and the bumper doing it's job on friday

Couple from my short trip. Played RIO for Will Carroll in his FJ Cruiser, went on Poison Spider on Saturday. The stock FJ Cruiser had no problems on the trail. We scraped the front skid plate a couple times and the hitch once. The ATRAC works very well, there was only once it didn't help us crawl right over something. And then it was just a matter of locking up the rear diff.
After the waterfall.
Brian Lawrence and his calico 60
On the wedgie.
Line up at the end.

Wow, what a week, can't believe it went by so fast. I didn't take as many pics this year, but do have video that I'll work on downloading later. In the mean time, here is one of Mary (purpletaco) coming down the diving board on Fins. Then Romer and ROD at the overlook on wipeout hill yesterday, plus the lineup from yesterday's wagon run.

After our blessing, we were allowed to park together at lunch.
And our group was then able to leave the trail, issue-free. See ya next near, Moab.

Okay...here is 180+ pics from Cruise Moab. Linky
I didn't have time to scratch out license plates...so if you see your rig here and want me to do this let me know.
Also, if anyone wants hi-res copies of these just PM me. Or if you want me to remove pics tell me as well.
Most of the shots are from the Saturday Hell's Revenge trail run. We had one new FJ cruiser with the trail team. As a few people have mentioned...it handled very well ( I drove one). It walked up Hell's Gate like it was nothing - not locked, factory condition (with an ARB bumper and skid plate), using only the A-Trac. The A-Trac took a little bit to get used too (it feels like you're scraping bottom when it engages), otherwise it worked like a charm.
A few teasers...
Going up Hell's Gate in the FJ Cruiser:
Ben's 100 catching some air:
A little carnage (broke frame):
Cheers,
Matt
