So Devils Ditch this weekend anyone?

So I am thinking about going to Devils Ditch trail in VA this saturday with some buddies from Hampden-Sydney. Anyone want to join us? We also need some exact directions to go there from Farmville. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You want to head to the GWNF?? It isn't that much farther. I also have a friend going to help with the final trail prep for the Mid-Atlantic Rove Rally in Buckingham County. They don't let anything but a Rover in during the Rally, but if you help during prep weekends you can wheel there and they serve you food.

I would like to go to the GWNF, but with all the clubs and trail clean up, I am not sure how much wheeling we'll get to do.

maybe I am just over thinking this. I want to go somewhere. The wife is planning on going, so it will be a day trip (she is 6 months pregnant). That is the only reason i am thinking about something other than GWNF.....

Yeah so lets go to Devils Ditch. I here Devils ditch is a lot of fun and it sounds like from what you are saying they are doing stuff at GWNF. Oh and my buddy is from Richmond and he knows how to get to charletsville he just needs directions from I - 64 to where the trail head is. If yall can give those directions to me that would be great. Josh,

Whats up man? You know I'm in, granted we go to school together. Anyways, if anybody can help us out with some directions to there from farmville or from I-64 in the Charlottesville area, it would greatly be appreciated. I'm gonna try and do an internet search for some, but I dunno how well that will turn out. Anyways, take it easy guys and let us know if yall wanna join.

I am going to go to GWNF. I am going with a few other 4runners.

Devil's Ditch is off 29N. From say C-ville or Rte. 33 head N on 29. It is about 25 miles North of C-ville. You will get to a Sheetz on 29 in Madison County. Turn left.
Go down that road about 10ish miles--maybe not that long. You will get to a counrty store/ BP gas station. Turn right.
Go down this road for another 10 miles. It is a country road filled with farms on both sides. keep driving. The road will start to head up the side of mountain (somehwat steep). The road wil lead into a cul-de-sac. There you will see this

sorry they aren't more specific, but I was following last weekend and we got the directions in a similar way

Filthy,

Thanks again for the directions. Those should work fine, we just need to find the general area and we will be all right. Have fun at GWNF and we'll definitely try and post some pics of what we get into.

Filthy is the GWNF thing just a trail clean up or a trail ride or both? We just want to run some trails for a day trip so what is it all about?

There are a few clubs going. It is trail clenup/ trail run. I am not a member of any of the clubs. One guy from yotatech is. That is the only reason I know about it.
I am taking the wife and sister-in-law. so I am not planning on cleaning a trail all day. Not that I am opposed to it, just a day trip for us and.....

Be careful wheeling in the RWMA as it's not clear which trails are open and which are closed. I've wheeled there with a local several times and even the local isn't sure what's open and what's not.

Ok we will be careful. Thanks for the warning. I hope it's gonna be a good time. Everyone is still invited to come if they want. The more the merrier.

you will have fun. If you see a trail, turn off and check it out. Easy as that.

Wait do you live there or something? You should come out if you see a group of college guys trying to have a good time on the trails.
