Pismo / Oceano Dunes Meetup November 1st-4th - Base Camp at Mile Marker 6
As with many attendees of the previous Surf N Turf events hosted by Pismo Jim, we ourselves found that no sooner we were on our way home - that we were already looking forward to the next years event (or coming back even sooner). Now that the "tide has gone out on S-N-T- what will the new tide roll in?
The good news is that there indeed is a new event! It's called: "Turf N' Surf" - Because the Journey there is only half the fun!
It will develop and grow, eventually becoming it's own tradition.
Turf N Surf is a free gathering, just show up! There is only a small OHV park gate fee per vehicle for day use or camping.
The date is officially November 2-4th with some of the group showing up on Wednesday Nov 1st to help set up.

Due to time/money constraints, shirt production is being independently handled by Spreadshirt this year.
These ship directly from their location to your home. Timing may not make it to wear to the event. They will still be available after the event if you decide you want one later.
There's also alternative sources making their own shirts and stickers which may be able to be picked up at the event if pre-ordered, check posts for more details.
AlvaroRob will be hosting the famous friday night " Sand Chef Competition ". You are welcome to enter by bringing your own cooking gear and some raw materials, there will be a mystery ingredient provided. Please check:

There were plans for a poker run, but not enough volunteers have come forth. If not there may be a geo-coordinate dune tour setup with those points posted at the event. Make sure to have your GPS and rally up your friends. more TBA.
Saturday late afternoon brings dune jumping at competition hill. Please park far enough away from the "Launch and Landing Zone". Usually there will be someone giving the all clear for jumps, please observe everyone around you for safety.
Saturday night brings the big campfire and sometimes even cruiser music... if you have a guitar- it's open mic night (if there was a mic). Some of the best cruiser trail stories in the world are told around this fire!
Sunday is Caravanning day, as most people organize themselves into small (or large) groups for expeditions across the dunes. This also seems to be the biggest day to get all those "magazine" shots of your rig on the beach before making the trip back home.
Contribute:
If you can, bring "Nail Free" Firewood. Please no Pallets for burning. There will be a large gathering each night at base camp. The bigger the fire the better
Also, try to refrain from bringing glass containers onto the beach. If need be, than please transfer to a plastic cup/container/etc.
This is a trash "Pack In, Pack out" Location- please deposit your trash in the dumpsters on the way out of the park.
Also, if some people can bring poles/tomato stakes and some sort visible rope/string to rope off camp areas for the safety of children- that would be great.
And as always, if you decide to drink- please don't drive. If you need to make a
bathroom break- leave your rig, and just make the walk. This will ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Thank you for everyones support, this is going great time on the beach!
