FZJ80's vs. Gate Keeper

My dad and I wheeled at the Rubicon trail this past weekend and had so much fun right in the beginning of the trail going thru the Gate Keeper. Boy did our sliders get a work out! Here are a couple of pics, enjoy.. Oh yeah, it was so cool, there were a couple of jeepers straight doubting us thinking that we would not even be able to reach the Gate Keeper (one of the guys actually told us that he would take us out of we get stuck, I just smiled at him knowing our cruisers would not only make it thru , but make it look easy), they were amazed at what they saw after completing this section of the trail.........

Oh sorry for the pic size, nice detail though (he was not wheeling and drinking, just some idiot jeeper had the bright idea to have him pose with a budweiser,

Nice pics. I found Gatekeeper to be not too difficult. The section between it and the slabs is much more of a PITA than Gatekeeper is. In an 80, you REALLY get to give your sliders a workout. I learned that my rig slides around boulders nicely when a slider is positioned just right

Did you guys hang out just around there or go through the entire trail?

What's up Doug, I wish we would have gone thru the whole trail, but we all had to come back that same day, those pics were taken yesterday. Back to work on Monday

...... We turned back right before we got to the granite slabs.. We did a lot of fishing in Loon Lake, and I also took my quad out, we had a great time..Maybe this year we will make it up to Rubithon with you guys, later Doug...
