Upper Peninsula of Michigan Wheeling

MrBryan came up and wheeled with me and my j&&p friends today. We ran the Mulligan Trail north and west of Marquette and got him pretty stuck (silver FZJ80). I posted some pics here: http://www.rooney.org/tlc/UPBW/mulligan_08_30_03.html

Somehow I missed taking a picture of him from the back with his IH8MUD decal showing while stuck in the big mudhole. Nobody made it through that part of the mudhole, BTW, except for a YJ that pulled himself through with his winch. We had to winch MrBryan out backwards - I broke my snatch strap trying to pull him out forward. For some reason an FZJ80 is kind of heavy when sunk in mud up to the top of his 35" Boggers!

Update 091603: I'll make this an ongoing picture thread.

Good to see those Birfs made the 6-8 hour trip from the Windy and spun Boggers through that slop.
I'm not sure they would have done that before the repack.

Looks like you guys got down and dirty. Sorry I couldn't make it up there this weekend, I was stuck in the land of sand. Looks fun though.

Re:Upper Peninsula of Michigan Wheeling

Unbelievable...I drive all the way up from Florida for a couple of weeks...and you guys do THIS!!! Shame on you all. There's some pretty sweet places to Cruise on our property off of Highway 13. Maybe the next time I make the 1400 mile 22 hour straight drive I can at least watch or ride along...or take my Honda Civic. Wait, by then I'll have the FJCruiser and everyone will hate me and compare me to the H2 guys...???....whatever..my money, my plastic cruiser.

Actually I might be gettin' a PlastiCruiser myself when the time comes. Not sure if I'll wheel it, though.

I'll be tradin' in the wife's ECHO when they come out. She can test it out on the street for a few years, then I hope to take advantage of the Taco drivetrain and the solid aftermarket for lifts, lockers and gears.

UPCRUISER came up yesterday and got himself stuck in a different big U.P. mudhole. I was able to pull him out backwards with my FJ62 pretty easily. This one is about about four miles from my house...

Go here for pics:

Nice pics. Funny how the stuck pictures end up getting posted versus ones that make you look like a hero. Lesson learned, I'll check out the line myself next time, I think I might just have better depth perception. I'll also keep the window shut.

Anyone one have any mud stain removal tips for cloth interiors? >:(
