Toyotafest - Break Out the Car Wax!

Occasionally, I wish I lived on the other coast! I know 65swb45 will be there:

The 10th Annual Toyotafest will be held at the Queen Mary in Long
Beach on May 14, 2005 (visit http://www.toyotaclub.org for more
details). This great event starts at 8 A.M. and ends at 3:00 P.M.
Toyota Owner's and Restorer's Club (T.O.R.C.) members will
then meet at 4:00 P.M.~ 7 P.M. at the private Toyota Automobile
Museum U.S.A. in Gardena to view more special Toyotas and socialize
with other T.O.R.C. members. All Toyotas are welcome at this event
and almost every kind of Toyota will be represented. Scion & Lexus
owners are also invited to attend & participate. You can expect to
see many old Toyota Coronas, Crowns, Land Cruisers and Celicas as
well as modern Toyota modified MR2s and Supras. There is a surprise
possibility of seeing some of Toyota's famous race cars of the
past (we have received confirmation that the Lexus Rolex display
race car and the Inland Truss SCORE class 1 Champion desert racer
will be there). The vendor row will be promoting Toyota related
merchandise. Toyotas entered in the Toyotafest will be judged by
fellow entrants in attendance.

The Toyota Owners and Restorers Club was established in 1995 by
Stuart Resor, (an Architect by profession). Stuart has been a Toyota
fan and owner for years and he is the proud owner of a nicely
restored 1967 Toyota Corona that looks good enough to be in
Toyota's own museum. When T.O.R.C. was formed in 1995, Stuart
said, "Itwas time that Toyota joined the ranks of
collectables" T.O.R.C. was formed as an organization aimed at
enthusiasts of all Toyota automobiles - both the early as well as
the later models. T.O.R.C aims to help Toyota owners with parts and
restoration advice, promote networking with other Toyota owners and
produces the Annual Toyotafest each year.

The Toyotafest is a safe and fun family oriented event, so bring the
kids and a picnic basket to enjoy Southern California's blue
skies and peaceful ocean breezes while viewing some of the finest
Toyotas in America. Don't forget to bring your camera and wear
some comfortable walking shoes. The fun doesn't stop when the
Toyotafest is finished. T.O.R.C. Members will then convoy over to
the Private Toyota Automobile Museum in Gardena to view some more
rare and wonderful Toyotas.
