Uwharrie 4th weekend in April....
My club is heading down to Uwharrie the [edit]4th[/edit] weekend in April.
Todd, Alex, I dunno if you're available, but I'd love to meet up and wheel with you guys. It's up in the air if I'll be 'wheelin the 80 or towing the mini-truck down and 'wheeling that. Anyone else wanna join? Actually I believe they banned drinking inside the national forest. This is all hearsay, but I've heard it from a lot of people.

Now see, that's gay, but I would leave the beer in camp anyway. I understand the no alchohol on the trail thing, and agree with it, but what does it matter if I enjoy a beer in camp after a nice day on the trail....

Awesome, it's also the weekend of the ram chargers central forum event. Sounds like it'll be nice and crowded. Last time I was there at the same time as the rovers it was more fun watching the rovers and making fun of them than it actually was to wheel, but I've matured a bit since then, so we'll have to see

Last Year I Was There The Same Weekend As The Suzuki / Isuzu Weekend And Sites Were At A Premium...anyone Up For Hooking Up For A Close Area In The Camp...there Are Several Areas Including Overflow At Yates Place...

Yes, from what i have heard through the grapvine and on other boards i think the entire month of april is really busy down there. I do believe it's the isuzu weekend also. I just hope noone breaks on the trail and bogs it down so no one can get by.........has happend many times when i have been, and it's just darn frustrating waiting for someone to get a clue and move to the side of the trail........i'll keep my fingers crossed.
Ary, look forward to the outting! I know it's illegal in arrowhead, but it was ok in other campsites. Now the word is that it's illegal in any "camp site" meaning hunt camp and group camp. What I'm wondering is if the primitive sites on the sides of the roads count or not. I guess we'll have to chat w/ guys at the outpost to figure out what the lowdown is.

Damn near everyone in my club that was supposed to go has backed out, so unless I'm gonna have someone to wheel with that weekend, I'm probably gonna back out as well.
