Pictures posted from Calgary run - 1/29/04

Hey everyone,

Not sure if there is a special spot to post run reports but must of the folks I did the run in Calgary with are on this board anyway.

http://westcoastcruisers.org/RunWCCC012905.html

Just the highlights for everyone that is not in RMLCA, if you get the chance to go to Calgary and wheel with these folks it is worth the trip. They are really cool and I had a great time.

THANKS to Everyone on the run who made me feel right at home, you folks are awesome. Anytime you get down to San Diego (or Calfornia for that matter) please look me up and I we can go wheeling

If you have pictures from the run you would like me to post please email them to tlcruiserman@westcoastcruisers.org

Thanks again,

Michael

it was actually quite nice that day, about 15 C and the sun was bright and warm...
the hills were a sheet of ice as were the trails but a previously unconquered hill was easily beat by both Micheals BJ74 and my J53. 23 years we have been trying to get to the top. one thing, when you think of conquering a hill it is best to plan how to get back down... it was a long way back.
glad you made the time to go for the run Micheal.
i suggest anyone that comes to Calgary should make time to meet the cruiserheads here and head out, if possible, for a day run.
cheers

Nice pics, Mike. Are you heading up this month to do the River Shiver?

Wayne: What do they feed you guys in the praries? I just saw a pic of Peter Straub.

That might explain why it looks vaguely familiar .. AND why the rear bumper felt familiar . It almost looks to have the same coating that Alan's 100 creation had .

Thanx ,

Awesome Pics. It's good to see a bunch of Cruisers out in their natural element. Too many get stuck in the cities and never get to go out and roam. Looks like a bunch of fun and I hope to be able to join a run when I get back to B.C. 5 months and counting!

TY,

He wheeled with us in Moab on Golden Spike, he was having a hard time with it because he had recently put a five speed tranny in it. For Moab it was a less than desireble set up. We had fun anyhow....

I can't make it either...I have too many trips planned for this year, and I have to watch the budget. Greg B's tentative on going. Are you going to be driving through BC to get to Calgary...or are you flying directly there? If you're driving through, be sure to stop by for a beer.

Thanks for the invite Stone. I am going to be flying directly to Calgary. But I would love to visit up to BC sometime, it I do I will let you know maybe some wheeling up there. If you ever get down to southern california please let me know, likewise on the beer, and if you are up to it, can take you wheeling down here.

I am also going to be attending Moab and Surf-n-Turf this year (not sure on what else but those to are locked in. Hope to see you at a run this year.

Cheers,

Michael
