Last year, one of the teams comes up with a “Menu”… so the judges knew what they were eating… so this year, the judges will expect a dang “Menu” from every single team… so, I was thinking the easy way to go with that tendency…
What about having a PDF format file, with the Sand Chef Logo, so each team could up-date their name, their dishes, push the print button and that it!!! the menus will be done in seconds for all the teams, judges will be happy with that and we can focus on getting the pans ready…
Who is the brain behind the logo?
The menu idea is doable?

For weeks people have been asking me the same question. And I've been giving them the same standard response: "I can't say".
But the time has come to reveal the fourth annual Sand Chef® secret ingredient. Are you ready?

This year's Sand Chef was probably the best Sand Chef to date. Teams have raised the bar many times over since we first started this contest in four years ago.
Here's a table with the totals:
As you can see it was a very tough choice for the judges. Kathy's All Girl Team and Ross's BFC were only a point a part. Here's a graph that illustrates it better:
We're already thinking of ways to make it more fun next year. Plus there are many ideas for the secret ingredient floating around in my head.
Regards
Alvaro

As you can see by the results, the best liked dish overall was Ross' BFC Salmon Remoulade. Followed very close by Kathy's AGT Frittata. The Frittata was also the best presented. The best dessert was Kathy's Chocolate Sunday. While the most original was Ross's Quail Egg shooter.
My favorites were: Ross's Quail Egg Shooter, followed by Kathy's FJ40 Frittata, Roberto's Empanadas and Dave's Bacon and Cheese Quiche. My favorite dessert was the Oceano Dunes cake.
Having said that, my vote did/does not count.
Regards
Alvaro

Winning Team - Thanks
I want to thank Slee Off road for sponsoring this event.
Here's a picture of the winning team:
I also want to give a special thanks to PismoJim for making this happen. This year to help offset the costs of the ingredients each team bought, PismoJim gave each team a $20 gift card as a way of saying thanks.
Thank you Chirsto, thank you Jim.
Regards
Alvaro
