I think Woody is sharing the same room with the brooms as well.
That room will have it's own smell!!!!! __________________ 71 fj55, 72 fj40, 75 fj40, 76 fj40, all sucking my wallet dry... This recession doesn't help either! |

Talked another buddy (club member) today, he (Clint) is bringing his sbc 40 and Jim is bringing his 80, so you'll have company on the wagon trail! Dave is contemplating joining us in his mini truck too. I got dibs on a warm dry seat in his 80 if the weather shits on us! None of us are staying over night, too close to our own beds and hotties.
Sounds like the party is on for Friday here, more locals are talking about getting out, even if they don't wheel Saturday. __________________ Mike "SpaceGhost" Smythe UROC Team #180 running: 37" Krawlers, Robby Gordon Beadlocks, RockCrusher HP60's, T-Max Winch, Blue Diamond Rope, 4.3 Vortec, 700r4, 3.8 Atlas, and "I got the shaft from Jesse" and Badlands Machine Shop |

Bad news......
My girlfriend and I won't be able to make it....we are utterly disappointed.....and It's the end of the semester here in Ohio for me and I have massive amounts of paperwork in terms of my teaching here and I have much work on my own dissertation as well that needs to be completed (three chapters...ouch!!) by the mid part of this month. Girlfriend unit and I sat around and discussed for awhile last night to try to find a way to make this feasible, and neither of us could come up with a plan. That means....no Cruiser outing for Onur.... And I'm really pissed as I got the weekend off from my other job and blah, blah, blah.Hope you guys have fun and I will try to catch up next time around... Very sorry to hear that Onur. I hope you can make the next one. Quick remark: If you go on this cruiser trip, you will be able to clear you head and be satisfied with your life. Writing three chapters will take 3 days. Trust me, that's how I got through the thesis .

Onur,
I have been quoted as saying," A few hours of wheelin, a few more od drinking.....makes the mind a bit more clear." That should help free your mind to do the work you should have done inplace of the wheelin! Hope you have a change of heart and join us. If not, see you next time! I can't, I should, I can't, I should, I can't, I should, I can't, I should....oh fawk.....
I CAN'T I really can't guys. My dissertation committee is already pissed off enough with me for getting a full time tech job....that blew their tops off!! (mad me laugh). And, money is oh so tight with the holidays...it's would be $160 just in gas....definitely can't do it this time. Have a great time and Benji thanks for your offer...you too Goebs... Take lots o' pics.... Cheers. -onur Akron, OH __________________ 1997 FZJ80 with and without lots of stuff. 2001 Honda Accord 3.0L V6 VTEC Coupe EX. __________________________________________ Originally Posted by cruiserdan in response to Hilux: "Unlike you, Mel Gibson is a bad dude. I'll be heading down there Fri night along with two co-workers. Staying at the Hotel Attica. Which bar are we meeting at? I'll be meeting up with the Chicago bunch at Steger road and Route 41, sometimes around 5 ish. PM me if anyone needs a map sent of the meeting place. There's a large Shell station with McDognard's where we usually meet up before heading south to Attica.

I'm packing fri. night and heading out in the morn. I'll prolly barrell on in around 9:00.
Hey Woody, is your bitch seat still open? I prolly won't wheel too much as I am still at stock height and have no side protection. I would rather wheel later in the afternoon after I get a handle on the place. ....and if it's open, I've got my snorkel and mask ready. Hell, I might even bring a wetsuit .ben |

Cool pics. I had mine on film so off to the developer I go.
I was really surprised that you guys waited on me. I figured I would catch up on the trail. The trip from Springfield to Attica was a lot longer than I expected. So, thanks to all y'all for hanging out for me. It was a blast even with the incredible hangover I had. The juniper berry is an evil fruit. It was really crowded with the Toys for Tots thing. A couple of places were just stupid with people. A big group of H1s were down, but I didn't see of any them do anything. Bunch of folks from here showed up. Kenton's 4-skinner. Benji's NICE 60. Too nice to wheel, in fact, but he gave it shot for the first bit of Green trail. Cliff (Clint?) from IN brought a clean 40 and wheeled the piss out of it. He worked it hard, but not nearly as hard as Jim with the stock white 92. He wouldn't give up on anything and took it through places where a stock truck shouldn't go. Ali and I at least had lockers, tires, bumpers and sliders. Ali gave his winch a workout, or, perhaps, his Geolanders gave his winch a workout. His old MT/Rs worked pretty good on my truck. Spaceghost showed up and led a bunch of trails. His rig is freakin' awesome and he had his new secret weapon on the front of his trailer for next year. Goebs brought the SO 40. He had a lot more stanima than I did after a long injury recovery. Who'd I miss from the forum? A couple of riders, for sure My memory is pretty fuzzy. I was dog-sick and I'm terrible with names. Anybody want to guess how many times Woody was on his side?

Thanks for the pics. Benji!!
What a fun time....I am a bit upset, but I didn't sign onto IH8Mud all weekend long and was locked down in my office on campus. My head was indeed with you guys.... Thanks again... Ben--I'll be taking you up on showing up soon...hopefully you can have some time to head up to Attica mid-late January.... That was a great day of wheelin for me. You all were a blast to hang with and follow through the woods. I was impressed with everyone's junk and loved the way everyone wheeled their toys to their own level. It is hard with all different types of rigs but this trip prooved that anyone can hang and have a great time. Jim's air after the hill was great except for the fact that Spaceghost might have had to change his pants after thinking he was about to get crushed by an 80 series!
I have to say that I was in a lot of pain at times, but for the most part you all made me forget about the fact that my leg is fkd. I have not had that much fun for about 6-7 months. Thanks! And once again Woody was able to get me over another obstacle that kicked my ass in the past. Nothing like 4 smokin 37's and some great spotting. That made the trip for me cause I knew I was going to have trouble on that one. Looking forward to doin it again soon. Kenton, maybe if the winter is mild, we need to head to the cliffs? Shoot me a pm and we'll have to get together locally for a beer or three. Nice to know that Todd and I aren't the only ones in Il that are with in 30 mins and beat our junk up. Great time and thanks. Amazingly, I barely got my camera out this weekend....guess I was too busy wheelin and spotting (and trying to get my PS to stop suckin air....bah)
I'll know after tonight, but pretty sure I junked a Longfield....LOUD crack as I entered the rock garden by the pond, followed by a left front that wouldn't spin....however, 2 years of incessant abuse is gonna wear them down! Suspect I'll be calling Bobby tomorrow for a pair of the new 4340 jobbies.... Great to meet everyone and add some faces to the screen names! Goebs, Entropy, and I all had dinner at the Attica Hotel on Sat...Troy and Lisa (Badlands owners) were down there, and Lisa said they collected over 400 toys....the Guard had to call in another truck when the first one filled up!!! She was also surprised at the number of people that DIDN'T bring a toy, but donated $5-10 on top of their park fees. Thanks to all who participated in this great cause, and mark the first weekend in December of 2005 for next years event!!! (now that you all have your 2005 Cruiser Calendars!!)

I had a blast as well! My Geolanders did give my winch a work out indeed. Trick was to air down to 20 psi from 25 psi and life was mucho mejor!
I posted some more pics at My Yahoo photo click in Badlands folder. It was very nice to put some faces and names together. In the above pics, you're seeing from right to left: Kenton, Jim and Clint (with his back) next to my 80. Wish I could've stayed for the dinner Sat night but Gumby and I high tailed it outta there. I'm glad that the weather was awsome, even though there was a clusterfawk of people present. I've never been in the river with TWO WAY traffic in Badlands! Hey, it's all for the kids man! Ali ps The Moonglow came back with a tiny ding on top of the right tail light
