Here's a few from my trip...I got back late last night.

Me on the crux of Hotel Rock. I think coming back up the other side is tougher as the bottom ledge is getting dug out.

My 60 on Fins-N-Things. It was my first year and I had a great time, but I left wondering where all the 60 series folks were? There were more pigs at this year's event from what I heard.

A near miss on Fins for Alan and his wife. Check out the guy's face on the right...the picture really doesn't do it justice.

Treeroot at the entrance to Mirror Gulch on Metal Masher.

Me at the start of Mirror Gulch.

A big thanks to the Rising Sun Club, it was a great time. It was nice meeting all of you and running trails with you.

Thanks for posting all the pictures. This is the first day I've really had time to check this thread out. Moab is awesome. Very hard to explain with out actually seeing this place. The scenery is breath taking and the trails are a blast. Rising sun does a very good job with the event. I can't believe the detail they take care of. The volunteers really must put in a lot of time getting ready for this event. Cheers to them!

The rock is pretty incredible to drive on. It grips like nothing I have ever seen. You can pull inclines here that I have not been able to pull back home with sand and rock.

My first two days I did Rim runs, Gold Bar and Procupuine. They had beautiful vistas and tight ledgy trails. My last day I did fins and things lead by Romer and tailed by his daughter. Very cool trail. My favorite so far. Lots of tall skinny rock that is crowned to climb up. Lots of of camber stuff too.

I'm glad I did the drive, I will be back for sure.

It was a pleasure to meet everyone and put faces and names to their mud alias'. A great community for sure.

Utah is also a very pretty state. Of all the states I've been thru my wife and I sure like Utah.

Cheers, Darryl

Alan's front tire air time brings back memories of that spot. I did the same thing, then went around to the right side.

Thanks for all the pictures guys!

Great pics and write-ups guys! Thanks for sharing. Here are some pics from my trip - Hotel Rock Overnighter on Thursday. We had a good representation of cruisers with Matt Miller in his 40, Ryan Mickelson and dad in his 60, John Rudzitis in his 70, Brian Passey and me in our 80's, Darin Mortensen and family in his sweet 100, Scott Howe in his Runner, and others I've certainly forgot.

Here's Matt, John, and Darin waving hello on the Hotel Rock trail. More pics of Hotel Rock can be found here.

I've gotta take La Cabra out for a ride. After seeing these pictures, I'm going through a severe Cruiser Wheeling envy attack.

Looks like you had a blast. Thanks for posting those pics.

Just got back with the CDan clan.....

CM08 was a great time as usual...Nice to see familiar faces again, good friends, lots of drinking and singing with Mark Algazy and the Wastach Cruisers, lots of driving, making stupid wheeling mistakes, thanks to Bruce and Ross Miller for saving the rest of my CM trip by providing me with a front drive shaft after I candycaned mine, nice to see and chat with dmc after his epic trip, hanging out with Cruiserdrew and yep in Valley of the Gods and for their good companionship, hanging with Romer, CDan, Hugh from Safari, and so many others, Chad and Caleb from Mule--thanks for the sticker and t-shirt!, and hanging with Alia176, chitown40, RoverRay and Rovermechanic John from Chicago, and big thanks to Robbie for troubleshooting my power steering issue....looks like another pump for me!

Carnage list:

Front DC drive shaft
PS Pump
Slee skid plate
Tie Rod

Some pics....

tried to make all the rounds sat am before i left, but missed a chance to say goodbye to most, mudrak, bill, phil, tony and cindy, hugh, the browns (not too concerned there, since they're local), bob brown, i know there are many many more....cm08 was a blast! glad i came home sat though....long drive with the trailer behind the pig and much less traffic to piss off, especially after eisenhower when i became convinced that my rear suspension was broken, not broke in.

relaxed today, went and saw a good friend, got the dogs out to play, cleaned the camper and did laundry...hhhhmmm, all the stuff i did right before moab, so i guess it's time to head out

It's always great to see and wheel with old friends esp the wasatch and high desert folks. I enjoyed meeting and putting names to faces like brownbear. I'm glad moab was good to you. That's a sweet 60 you have there!

Not enough wheeling but it was a good to get out of work for a day or two. I can't believe another CM is in the bag...

I have to admit that as many times as I have been on Poison Spider or Golden Spike (6 times), I have yet to cough up the courage to do the wedgy

congratulations to Sarah
